Peekskill (Metro-North station)
The Peekskill Metro-North Railroad station serves residents of Peekskill, New York via the Hudson Line. Trains leave for New York City every hour on weekdays and about every 25 minutes during rush hour. It is 41.2 miles from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is approximately one hour. It is the northernmost station on the line in Westchester County. It is just south of a grade crossing whose gates remain down as long as any northbound train is in the station.
Peekskill Military Academy
Peekskill Military Academy was founded as 'Peekskill Academy'. It was a military academy for young men and women, founded in 1833, located in Peekskill, New York, United States. The academy was built by a hanging tree and when a building was built near the great tree (1833), one of the British who was captured and summarily hanged, Daniel Strang’s bones were found buried nearby. In 1841 the academy decided to only admit boys. By 1857 it was known as Peekskill Military Academy.

WLNA is the callsign of an AM radio station licensed to Peekskill, New York and serving the Hudson Valley. The station is owned by Pamal Broadcasting and broadcasts on 1420 kHz at 5,000 watts daytime and 1,000 watts nighttime, both directional, from a three-tower array located just north of Peekskill in the Town of Cortlandt, New York.
Peekskill meteorite
The Peekskill meteorite is among the most historic meteorite events on record. Sixteen separate video recordings document the meteorite burning through the Earth's atmosphere, whereupon it struck a parked car in Peekskill, New York. Peekskill is an H6 monomict breccia; its filigreed texture is the result of the shocking and heating following the impact of two asteroids in outer space. The meteorite is of the stony variety and approximately 20% of its mass is tiny flakes of nickel-iron.
Camp Smith (New York)
Camp Smith is a military installation of the New York Army National Guard in Cortlandt Manor near Peekskill, NY, about 30 miles north of New York City, at the northern border of Westchester County, and consists of 1,900 acres . Established in 1882 by General Frederick Townsend, Adjutant General of New York, it was formerly known as "Camp Townsend", but was renamed in 1919 to "Camp Smith" for Governor Alfred E. Smith of New York.
Peekskill Presbyterian Church
The Peekskill Presbyterian Church is a historic Greek Revival-style church located in Peekskill, New York, United States. It was built in 1846 and was twice the size of the original sanctuary which the congregation, dating to 1799 but formally incorporated in 1826, had outgrown. It has been renovated and expanded over the years, but retains much of its original design. The church's bell is the original bell used in the late 18th century.
St. Peter's Episcopal Church (Peekskill, New York)
St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Peekskill, New York, United States, is located on the north edge of the city's downtown. It is a three-building complex of stone Late Gothic Revival buildings on a half-acre (2,000 m²) dating to the late 19th century and added onto at successive later dates. The church itself was established in nearby Van Cortlandtville before the American Revolution as Old St. Peter's Church. Its current home is the third building on the site, designed by architect Richard M.
