Riverdale (Metro-North station)

The Riverdale (also known as Riverdale – West 254th Street) Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx, New York via the Hudson Line. Trains leave for New York City every 25 to 35 minutes on weekdays. It about 12.2 miles from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is about 26 minutes. After Mount Saint Vincent station was closed, it became the northernmost station on the Hudson Line in the Bronx.

Fieldston, Bronx

Fieldston is a section of the Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York City. It is bounded by Manhattan College Parkway to the south, Henry Hudson Parkway to the west, 250th Street to the north and Broadway to the east. The area is home to two private schools: the Horace Mann School, and the Ethical Culture Fieldston School. The Riverdale Country School, the third of the three prestigious "Hill Schools" is just outside Fieldston to the north.

Salanter Akiba Riverdale Academy, better known by the acronym, SAR Academy, is a coeducational, private Modern Orthodox Jewish day school. The school is located in the Riverdale section of the New York City borough of the Bronx. Its name derives from the three schools which merged to form it, Salanter, Akiba, and the Riverdale Academy, all Orthodox yeshiva day schools. The three schools merged in 1968 and adopted the current name.

Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy

The Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy (RKA) is a small public school in Riverdale, Bronx. It has approximately 1,320 students, as it is a middle school and high school. The current Principal is Lori O'Mara. It was a middle school only until 1999 when in response to community demand, a high school was added. With the addition of a high school 8th graders are automatically admitted to the high school. However, they can also go to other schools such as Bronx High School of Science .

Riverdale Jewish Center

Riverdale Temple

The Riverdale Temple is a Reform synagogue in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx, New York City. The congregation was founded in 1947. In the 2009 New York City bomb plot, a group of American Muslims planned to blow up the temple. On May 30, 2009, New York Governor David Paterson announced he would give the Riverdale Jewish Center and the Riverdale Temple $25,000 each to improve their security.
