Aberbanc
Aber-banc is a village in the Welsh county of Ceredigion. Aber-banc is situated on a sharp bend on the A475 approximately 4 miles east of Newcastle Emlyn. Nant Gwylan and the River Cwerchyr join the River Cynllo here and there are a number of Tree Preservation Orders along the north eastern bank of the River Cynllo. The historic core of the settlement consists of distinctive, stone-built individual and terraced properties.
Teifi Valley Railway
The Teifi Valley Railway is a 2ft gauge railway operating between Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn along the River Teifi, West Wales. It is a narrow-gauge tourist railway built on the GWR part of the Carmarthen and Cardigan Railway and currently operating on about two miles of track. A new platform has been constructed at Henllan, on the original GWR location, from where the service is planned to continue to Newcastle Emlyn and, eventually, to Pentrecwrt.
Bronwydd Castle
Bronwydd Castle (or simply Bronwydd) was a Welsh country house in Cardiganshire, owned by the Lloyd family. It is just south of Llangynllo/Llangunllo, halfway between Cardigan and Lampeter. Sir Thomas Lloyd, 1st Baronet rebuilt the original 18th century house in the Gothic Revival style in the 1850s. The family sold the house in 1937 after the death of Sir Thomas' son and daughter-in-law; after World War II the house was stripped of its fittings and has been left in ruins.

Ffostrasol
Ffostrasol is a small village in the south of Ceredigion, Wales. It is located on the A486 between Synod Inn and Llandysul, and it forms part of the parish of Llangynllo. The village lies on a rural crossroad connecting it with the nearby village of Plwmp to the north, Synod Inn to the north east, Newcastle Emlyn to the south west, and Llandysul to the south east. Village amenities include the Ffostrasol Arms inn, or Tafarn Ffostrasol in Welsh, and a garage.
Henllan, Ceredigion
Henllan is a village in the Welsh county of Ceredigion. Henllan is situated along minor roads off the A484 Cardigan to Carmarthen road, some miles east of Newcastle Emlyn and now merges as a result of infill development with the small settlement of Trebedw. The settlement lies to the south of the Teifi Valley Railway amidst steep, attractive woodland areas (many of which are subject to Tree Preservation Orders) in the Teifi Valley. Henllan comprises over 90 dwellings.
Llandyfriog transmitting station
The Llandyfriog transmitting station is a broadcasting and telecommunications facility located on high ground several kilometres east of the town of Newcastle Emlyn, Ceredigion, South Wales. It was built in 1980 to relay VHF radio and UHF television to Newcastle Emlyn and the area in general. The site has a 25 m self-standing lattice mast erected on land that is itself about 105 m above sea level and acts as an off-air television relay of Preseli, about 20 km to the west.
