Normanby Hall

Normanby Hall is a classic English mansion, located near the village of Burton-upon-Stather, 5 miles north of Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. The present Hall was built in 1825–30 to the designs of Robert Smirke for Sir Robert Sheffield (1786–1862). The Sheffield family had lived on the site since 1539 and the family's titles include Dukes of Buckingham and Normanby and Sheffield baronets. It replaced a previous 17th century building.

Appleby Frodingham Railway

The Appleby Frodingham Railway Preservation Society is based at Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire. The society owns locomotives and rolling stock but not the railway it runs on. The name comes from the Appleby-Frodingham Steel Company, now simply known as Scunthorpe Works. The railway operates entirely within the Corus steelworks over the tracks normally used for moving iron, steel and materials around the works.

Plowright Theatre

The Plowright Theatre, is a live entertainment venue on Laneham Street in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is owned by North Lincolnshire Council and managed by SMG-Europe. It is the Sister Venue to the Baths Hall located on Doncaster Road in Scunthorpe. The Plowright Theatre was commissioned by the former Scunthorpe Borough Council and built by J. W. Taylor in 1958. It is a traditional proscenium style theatre with a 354 seat auditorium.

Normanby Park railway station was a goods station, built by the North Lindsey Light Railway, in Normanby, Lincolnshire. Situated some 1 7/8 miles from Scunthorpe it opened on 1 August 1912, the increase in traffic on the line being due to the commissioning of new blast furnaces at the nearby works of John Lysaght & Company. Scunthorpe (Dawes Lane) railway station

Scunthorpe (Dawes Lane) railway station was a small railway station, the original southern terminus of the North Lindsey Light Railway situated adjacent to the level crossing on Dawes Lane and about 1/2 mile east of the present main line station, opened in 1926, and about 1/8 mile east of Frodingham railway station, Scunthorpes first station. The station was opened on 3 September 1906 with a service to Winterton and Thealby.

Frodingham railway station

Frodingham railway station was a railway station in Frodingham, Lincolnshire, England. It was open by the Trent, Ancholme and Grimsby Railway on 1 October 1866 and, like all the others built by that company, had staggered platforms set around the level crossing on the Brigg Road. The first station here was closed in autumn 1886, when a new Frodingham station, built by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway, was opened, to the west of the Brigg Road level crossing.
