Grace Dieu (ship)
Grace Dieu was launched in 1418 as the flagship of Henry V of England and was one of the largest ships of her time. She sailed on only one voyage, and spent most of her life laid up in the River Hamble, where in 1439 she was struck by a bolt of lightning and burnt.

Bursledon railway station serves the village of Bursledon in Hampshire, England. It is on the West Coastway Line. The station is operated by South West Trains, who provide the majority of trains serving it (the exception being a peak-period service operated by Southern). HMS Cricket (shore establishment)
HMS Cricket was the name given to a Royal Navy shore establishment on the River Hamble from 1943 to 1946. This name was previously used by the Insect class gunboat, HMS Cricket that was scrapped in 1942. HMS Cricket was commissioned on 15 July 1943. Initially it was a "Royal Marine Landing Craft Crew Training Base". It was established as an independent command with accounts being handled by HMS Shrapnel. The base was later used to assemble troops and landing craft in the build-up to D-day.
Manor Farm Country Park
Manor Farm Country Park, formerly Upper Hamble Country Park, runs along the west bank of the River Hamble between the villages of Botley and Bursledon in Hampshire at grid reference SU496111. The park first opened in 1979. In 1984, the Manor Farm museum was opened. The museum site was once at the heart of the village of Botley. The ancient duckpond in Manor Farm and the neighbouring St Batholomew's Church are mentioned in the Domesday book.

The London Area Control Centre (LACC) is an air traffic control centre based at Swanwick near Fareham in Hampshire, southern England. It is operated by National Air Traffic Services (NATS), starting operations on 27 January 2002, and handles aircraft over England and Wales. Internally within NATS it is usually known by the initials AC. LACC shares the Swanwick site with the London Terminal Control Centre (LTCC), which moved there in 2007.
