Beaulieu River
The Beaulieu River, formerly known as the River Exe, is a small river flowing south through the New Forest in the county of Hampshire in southern England. The river is some 12 miles long, of which the last 4 miles are tidal. Unusually, the entire river, including its bed, is owned by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu. The Beaulieu River rises near Lyndhurst in the centre of the New Forest, and flows south-easterly across the forest heaths to the village of Beaulieu.
Exbury Gardens
Exbury Gardens is a famous garden in Hampshire, England, which belongs to a branch of the Rothschild family. It is situated in the village of Exbury, just to the east of Beaulieu across the river from Bucklers Hard. It is well signposted from Beaulieu and from the A326 Southampton to Fawley road in the New Forest.
Gurnard Bay
Gurnard Bay is a bay on the north west coast of the Isle of Wight, England, in the western arm of the Solent. It lies to the north west of the village of Gurnard from which it takes its name. Its shoreline is 2km in length and is gently curving. It stretches from Gurnard Head in the west to Egypt Point to the east. The seabed is a mixture of mud and sand and the beach is predominantly shingle. A small brook called Gurnard Luck enters the bay at the south western end.
Osborne Bay
Osborne Bay is a bay on the north-east coast of the Isle of Wight, England, in the eastern arm of the Solent. It lies to the east of East Cowes. Its shoreline is 2 km in length and is gently curving. It stretches from Old Castle Point in the west to Barton Point to the east. The seabed is a mixture of mud and sand. The beach is predominantly shingle. The bay is popular in summer as a yacht anchorage, being sheltered from the prevailing south-westerly winds, and can become very crowded.
Luttrell's Tower
Luttrells Tower is a three-story stuccoed yellow brick folly south of Southampton, Hampshire near the village of Calshot. It has a 6 storey circular stair turret extending above the rest. It stands on the shore of the Solent, close to the grounds of Eaglehurst House but is owned by the Landmark Trust.
