Sacro Monte di Oropa
The Sacro Monte di Oropa (literally ‘Sacred Mount of Oropa’) is a Roman Catholic devotional complex in the comune of Biella, Piedmont, northern Italy. It is one of the nine Sacri Monti of Piedmont and Lombardy and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Construction began in 1617, near the pre-existing Sanctuary of Black Virgin of Oropa, one of the oldest in Piedmont and one of the best known in the region of the Alps.
Valsesia
Valsesia is a group of valleys in north-east of Piedmont in the Province of Vercelli, Italy; the principal valley is that of the river Sesia. The major cities are Varallo Sesia, Borgosesia, Serravalle Sesia; important touristic villages include Alagna Valsesia, Rima, Carcoforo, Scopello. While the valley mainly belongs to the province of Vercelli three of its comuni are part of the province of Novara.
Giardino Botanico di Oropa
The Giardino Botanico di Oropa is a nature preserve and botanical garden located at an altitude of 1200 m in Oropa, a town about 12 km northwest of Biella, Piedmont, Italy. It is open daily except Mondays in the warmer months. The garden covers several acres either side of the Torrente Oropa, and is managed by the World Wide Fund for Nature for Biella, primarily as a nature preserve, but also with mountain plants from around the world.

Belvedere Glacier
The Belvedere Glacier (Italian: Ghiacciaio del Belvedere) is a valley glacier located above Macugnaga in the region of Piedmont. The glacier lies at the base of the east face of Monte Rosa and reaches a height of about 1,800 metres above sea level at its lowest point. The glacier is mostly covered by rocks. The glacier is feed by the snows and glaciers on the east side of Monte Rosa, among which the Ghiacciaio del Monte Rosa, culminating above 4,500 metres.
