Action Directe is a famously difficult sport climb in the Frankenjura, Germany. Milan Sykora bolted this line in the 80's. The first ascent (FA) was by Wolfgang Güllich in 1991, who climbed the route using a 16 move sequence. Simpson and Koyamada used a different sequence with only 11 moves. The Gregor-Mendel-Gymnasium (GMG, Gregor Mendel High School) is a national, public gymnasium in Amberg, Bavaria. It is named after scientist Gregor Mendel. As of 2006 it has some 950 students, of whom 35% are from the city of Amberg, and 65% from the surrounding district. There are some 60 instructors. The school was founded in 1833 as the Königliche Landwirtschafts- und Gewerbeschule.

Ensdorf Abbey

Ensdorf Abbey (Kloster Ensdorf) was a house of the Benedictine Order located at Ensdorf in Bavaria in Germany. Dedicated to Saint James, the monastery was founded in 1121 by Pfalzgraf Otto of Wittelsbach. It was dissolved in 1556 but restored in 1669, only to be dissolved again in 1802 in the secularisation of the period. The premises were taken over in 1920 by the Salesians of Don Bosco, who still occupy them.

Schloss Neidstein

Schloss Neidstein is a castle located in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria, Germany, in the municipality of Etzelwang. It was the seat of a Hofmark (a lower legal entity) during the Palatinate-Sulzbach period (16th–18th centuries). The castle with its 165 hectares of forest and meadows is now part of the Schergenbuck reserve. Neidstein was residence of the Brandt family since 1466. Easter Cave

The Easter Cave is a small cave in the vicinity of Trondorf (in the municipality of Neukirchen bei Sulzbach-Rosenberg) in Germany. The cave is 185 metres long and may be visited during the summer months. It was first mentioned in the records around 1630. The present entrance was artificially created in 1905 in order to open it as a show cave for visitors. The Easter Cave is one of the last caves in Germany to be lit with carbide lamps.

Eh'häusl

The Eh'häusl is an eight-foot wide hotel in the city of Amberg, in the Upper Palatinate of Bavaria in Germany. According to the operator, the Urban Planning Society of the town of Amberg, it is now regarded as "the smallest hotel in the world. " The name of the building, derived possibly from Early New High German Ehalten (for servants) and was probably reinterpreted in the vernacular to marriage house or matrimonial home in the 18th or 19th century.
