Corktown, Toronto
Corktown is a residential neighbourhood in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is just south of Regent Park and north of the Gardiner Expressway, between Berkeley Street to the west and the Don River to the east, Shuter Street to Lake Shore Boulevard East, this area also includes the Distillery District. Corktown contains many vacated industrial buildings, some in use by production and movie studios.
St. Paul's Basilica (Toronto)
St. Paul's Basilica is the oldest Roman Catholic congregation in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the Corktown neighbourhood just east of downtown near the intersection of Queen and Parliament streets at 83 Power Street. The parish was established in 1822 by James Baby when the York region was part of the Diocese of Kingston and was the only Roman Catholic parish between Kingston and Windsor. The original structure was constructed of red brick on the same site.
Little Trinity Anglican Church
Little Trinity Anglican Church, formally Trinity East, is a parish of the Anglican Church of Canada located at 425 King Street East in the Corktown neighbourhood just east of downtown Toronto, Ontario. The cornerstone for the Tudor Gothic church was laid on July 20, 1843, and the first services were held February 14, 1844 making it the oldest surviving church building in Toronto. It was the second Anglican church in the city, after St. James' Cathedral.
Toronto Sun Building
The Toronto Sun Building, at 333 King Street East at Sherbourne, was home to one of Toronto's daily English language newspapers, the Toronto Sun. Built in 1975, the most notable feature of the structure was the large mural on the south side. The mural was 55 metres wide and 7.6 metres high, covering a long brick wall along King Street. It was done in 1993 for the Sun by artist John Hood to celebrate the bicentennial of the founding of York.

Alumnae Theatre
The Alumnae Theatre, known most often as The Alum, is the oldest theatre society in Toronto, Canada still in operation. It was founded in 1919 by female graduates of the University of Toronto who wanted to continue to participate in semi-professional theatre after graduation. Originally all performers in all roles were female, but in the 1920s male guest performers began to be invited to join the performances. Still today the leadership of the society remains entirely female.

Trefann Court
Trefann Court is a small neighbourhood in the eastern part of downtown Toronto, Canada. It is located on the north side of Queen Street between Parliament Street and River Street. It extends north only a short distance to Shuter St. In the nineteenth century Trefann Court was considered a part of the Cabbagetown neighbourhood. It was a mix of industry, linked to the nearby harbour, and working class housing of mainly Irish immigrants.
Dominion Hotel, Toronto
The Dominion Hotel is one of the oldest remaining hotels in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Constructed in the late nineteenth century in the Corktown neighbourhood, it is a historic hotel structure that has not been torn down and replaced with a modern structure. Its first owner was Robert T. Davies, a relative of Thomas Davies, who founded the nearby Don Brewery. The hotel was constructed in 1889. As originally constructed, the hotel was four stories tall, had a mansard roof, and a small tower.
