Flatbush, Brooklyn
Flatbush is a community in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, consisting of several neighborhoods. The name Flatbush is an Anglicization of the Dutch language Vlacke bos (vlacke = vlak = flat; "flat woodland" or "wooded plain"). The Flatbush Post Office is assigned postal zone 11226, but the area understood as included in Flatbush extends into other postal zones.
Kensington, Brooklyn
Kensington is a neighborhood in the center of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It is the area south of Prospect Park and the Green-Wood Cemetery. It is bordered by Coney Island Avenue to the east, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Caton Avenue to the north, McDonald Avenue and 37th Street to the west, and Foster Avenue and 47th Street to the south.
Prospect Park South, Brooklyn
Prospect Park South is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, within the community of Flatbush. It is bordered by Church Avenue to the north, the Brighton Line (B & Q trains at present) of the New York City Subway to the east, Beverley Road (originally spelled Beverly) to the south, and between Stratford Road and Coney Island Avenue to the west. The station has four tracks and two island platforms. The full time Q train uses the local tracks at all times, while the B train uses the express tracks on weekdays only.
Beverley Road (BMT Brighton Line)
Beverley Road is a local station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway. It is located over a private right-of-way at Beverley Road between Marlborough Road (East 15th Street) and East 16th Street in the neighborhood of Flatbush, Brooklyn. It is served by the Q train at all times. The original station at this location was opened around 1900 as a two-track street-level side platform station running south from a grade crossing at Beverley Road.
Cortelyou Road (BMT Brighton Line)
Cortelyou Road is a local station on the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway, located at Cortelyou Road between Marlborough Road (East 15th Street) and East 16th Street in the neighborhood of Flatbush, Brooklyn. It is served by the Q train at all times. The Cortelyous were an old New Netherlands family whose immigrant ancestor arrived in 1652. The road and station are named for George B.
Fort Hamilton Parkway (IND Culver Line)
Fort Hamilton Parkway is a local station on the IND Culver Line of the New York City Subway. It is served by the F and G trains at all times. There are two local tracks and two side platforms. The unused express tracks run under the station and are not visible from the platforms. The tile band is orange-yellow with a medium red-brown border; the tablets are set in the reverse of this color scheme. Several replacement tiles in bright orange-red have been observed.

Beverley Squares
Beverley Square East and Beverley Square West, also spelled Beverly Square, are a pair of neighborhoods in the Flatbush section of the New York City borough of Brooklyn in the United States. Located southwest of Prospect Park within what is now called Victorian Flatbush, one of the largest concentrations of Victorian houses in the USA, they were developed in the 1900s primarily by Thomas Benton Ackerson, whose home is in Beverley Square West.
Victorian Flatbush
Victorian Flatbush is the western section of the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York, bordering Midwood, that is characterized by Victorian houses. Much of it is usually now thought of as part of Ditmas Park. The neighborhoods of Victorian Flatbush were developed in the early twentieth century from farmland in the former village of Flatbush, in response to the construction of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit line to Coney Island, and were some of the earliest suburbs.
