American University Park is a neighborhood of Washington, DC, named for the American University. AU Park, as it is often abbreviated, is situated against the Maryland border in the Northwest quadrant, bounded by Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Western Avenues. Dalecarlia Reservoir is the primary storage basin for drinking water in Washington, D.C. , fed by an underground aqueduct in turn fed by low dams which divert portions of the Potomac River near Great Falls and Little Falls. Dalecarlia Tunnel
The Dalecarlia Tunnel is an abandoned railroad tunnel in Brookmont, Maryland, near Washington, D.C. , that carries the Capital Crescent Trail underneath MacArthur Boulevard and the Washington Aqueduct. It was built in 1910 as part of the Georgetown Branch of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. It is a Roman arch tunnel, measuring 18 feet wide by 340 feet long. It features decorative brick facings on both ends and is lined with brick throughout its length.
Westland Middle School
Westland Middle School is a public school in Bethesda in unincorporated Montgomery County, Maryland. It opened in 1952 as Western Junior High School, it then changed its name to Westland Jr. High School when it merged with Leland Junior High School, and later to Westland Intermediate School. Westmoreland Circle
Westmoreland Circle is a traffic circle straddling the border between the U.S. state of Maryland and Washington, D.C. Fort Bayard (Washington, D.C.)
