River Tees
The River Tees is in northern England. It rises on the eastern slope of Cross Fell in the North Pennines, and flows eastwards for 85 miles (137 km) to reach the North Sea between Hartlepool and Redcar near Middlesbrough.
Teesside
Teesside is the name given to the conurbation in the north east of England made up of the towns of Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Thornaby, Billingham and surrounding settlements near the River Tees. Teesport is a large sea port located in the unitary authority of Redcar and Cleveland, in the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, Northern England. Owned by PD Ports, it is located 5.6 miles from the North Sea and 3.1 miles east of Middlesbrough, on the River Tees. Teesport is currently the third largest port in the United Kingdom, and amongst the ten biggest in Western Europe, handling over 56 million tonnes of domestic and international cargo per year.

The A1085 is a road that runs from Middlesbrough to Marske-by-the-Sea in the former county of Cleveland. There is a long straight part of the road whilst it passes the former ICI Wilton plant towards Redcar, this part of the road is the main road towards Redcar from the west and towards Middlesbrough and the A66 from the east.
