Tychy
Tychy is a city in Silesia, Poland, approximately 20 kilometres south of Katowice. Situated on the southern edge of the Upper Silesian industrial district, the city borders Katowice to the north, Mikołów to the west, Bieruń to the east and Kobiór to the south. Kościuszko Park
The Kosciuszko Park, which has existed since 1925, is one of the most famous and frequented parks in Katowice, Poland. It is situated at the street of the same name. Its foundation dates back to 1888 when a municipal park was founded on the 6 ha area of suburban grove. The present area of the park is 72 ha. Its arrangement is influenced by English gardens-parks, which is emphasized by an alley of roses turned to wild.

Parachute Tower Katowice
Parachute Tower Katowice (Polish: Wieża spadochronowa w Katowicach) is a 50 metre tall lattice parachute tower built in 1937 for training parachute jumps. It was used in the first days of World War II by the 73rd infantry regiment as an observation tower. The parachute Tower in Katowice is the only existing parachute tower in Poland.

Katowice-Muchowiec Airport is a general aviation (mainly sport use) airport in the Muchowiec neighborhood of Katowice, Poland. It has one inoperative concrete runway, RWY 05/23 with the dimensions of 1109 x 30 metres (3640 x 98 feet). There is a displaced threshold length of 221 meters (725 ft) on both RWY 05 and RWY 23, yielding a landing distance of 888 metres (2915 ft). However, coal-mining activity damaged the runway and it is no longer used.
Drapacz Chmur
Drapacz Chmur (English: Skyscraper) is a historical building in Katowice, Silesia, Poland. It was the first skyscraper built in post-World War I Poland. Finished in 1934 after five years of construction, it made pioneering Polish use of steel frame construction. Today, Drapacz Chmur is considered the most spectacular and beautiful example of functionalism in Poland. The building has seventeen stories, fourteen above the ground, and contained one of the first garbage chutes in Poland.
St. Michael's church, Katowice
Church of St. Michael Archangel (Polish: Kościół św. Michała Archanioła w Katowicach) is one of the oldest buildings in Katowice. It's located in Kościuszko Park, where it was moved in 1938 from the village Syrynia, where it was originally constructed in 1510. It is under the invocation of St. Michael. It has end-fitted log framework construction and shingled roof. Free-standing belltower was completed before 1679; it has historic lych-gate and wooden fence around the churchyard.

Fürstengrube subcamp
The Fürstengrube subcamp was organized in the summer of 1943 at the Fürstengrube hard coal mine in the town of Wesola (Wessolla) near Myslowice (Myslowitz), approximately 30 kilometers from Auschwitz concentration camp. The mine, which IG Farbenindustrie AG acquired in February 1941, was to supply hard coal for the IG Farben factory being built in Auschwitz.
