Lasting the whole day of 22 March 1849 and ending at dawn on 23 March, it resulted in a severe defeat and retreat of the Piedmontese (Sardinian) army.

Stadio Silvio Piola is a multi-use stadium in Novara, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Novara Calcio. The stadium holds 17,875 and was named after Italy legend and former player Silvio Piola.
Basilica of San Gaudenzio
The Basilica of San Gaudenzio is a church in Novara, Piedmont, northern Italy. It is the highest point in the city. It is dedicated to Gaudentius of Novara, first Christian bishop of the city. It was built between 1577 and 1690 following the destruction of the old Basilica, ordered by Emperor Charles V. The Basilica itself was built by Pellegrino Tibaldi; however, the monumental cupola was designed by Antonelli. The cupola was completed in 1887 and it is 121 m high.
Lumellogno
Lumellogno is a settlement of some 1,500 people to the south-west of the city of Novara in the Italian province Piedmont. Administratively it is a quarter of the Commune of Novara; geographically it is separated from the town by paddy fields and the torrent Agogna. Lumellogno was the birthplace of the noted twelfth-century scholastic Petrus Lombardus.

Ghemme DOCG
Ghemme is a red Italian wine with Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita status produced in the Colli Novaresi viticultural area in the hills of the Province of Novara in Piedmont. It was awarded DOC status in 1969 and received its DOCG classification in 1997. The wine is made primarily from the Nebbiolo grape varietal (known locally as Spanna) and like Gattinara, it may be blended with Bonarda di Gattinara and Vespolina.

Opened in 1999, the station is the western terminus of the Busto Arsizio–Malpensa Airport railway. The airport and station are also known as Milan-Malpensa Airport, because the airport is the main airport serving Milan. The station is managed by Ferrovienord. Most train services are operated by LeNORD.
