Turnersville is a census-designated place and unincorporated community located within Washington Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 3,742. It is named after the Turner family, one of the original families of Washington Township. The area falls under the 08012 ZIP code for Blackwood.

Washington Township was incorporated by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 17, 1836, from portions of Deptford Township.
Hurffville School
Hurffville Elementary School is one of the oldest schools in the Washington Township Public School District in Washington Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Built in 1957, Hurffville was designed as an open-air environment school. The school originally housed kindergarten through 6th grades, but as population increased, it was reduced to 2nd through 6th and then 1st through 5th grades. In 1988, the school had hallways installed.
