The Flats (Woodbridge)

The Flats is a neighborhood located in the southeastern end of Woodbridge, Connecticut, in the valley Amity area that runs between the hilly western part of town and the rock formation known as West Rock. The Flats also borders the city of New Haven, and specifically the neighborhood of Westville. Amity (New Haven)

The valley of Amity is an area located partly in the town of Woodbridge, Connecticut and partly in the city of New Haven. It is bounded on the northeast by the West Rock ridge, on the south by the Westville neighborhood of New Haven, and on the northwest by an incline in elevation above which lies the highlands of Woodbridge, Connecticut.

West Rock Ridge State Park

West Rock Ridge State Park is a state park located in New Haven, Hamden, and Woodbridge, Connecticut. It is named for the 400-to-700-foot (to m) trap rock West Rock Ridge, which is part of the Metacomet Ridge extending from Long Island Sound to the Vermont border. The ridge consists largely of diabase, much like its sister formation East Rock.

Amity Regional High School

Amity High School is a regional public high school located in Woodbridge, Connecticut, USA. It provides high school education (grades 9-12) for the children in the towns of Woodbridge, Orange, and Bethany (which together form Regional District #5 for the purpose of secondary education). The name Amity is derived from both the colonial history of Woodbridge as well as the "friendship" demonstrated among the three founding towns in arranging for a communal educational program.

Darling House Museum

The Darling House Museum is a historic house museum located in Woodbridge, Connecticut, and is owned and operated by the Amity & Woodbridge Historical Society. The house is open by appointment and during special events. In the early 1770s, Thomas Darling hired Abiel Gray of West Hartford, Connecticut to build a new home in Amity Parish, outside of New Haven. Gray took two years (1772-1774) to finish the project.

Heroes Tunnel

Heroes Tunnel (formerly West Rock Tunnel) is a 1,200-foot-long, twin-tube tunnel carrying Route 15 through West Rock Ridge in New Haven, Connecticut. Opened in 1949, it was said to be the only vehicular tunnel "to pass beneath a land feature" in Connecticut and all of New England. However, there is another vehicular tunnel in Vernon, Connecticut passing under a man-made land feature.

Congregation B'nai Jacob (Woodbridge, Connecticut)

The Congregation B'Nai Jacob was established in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882. Founded by orthodox Jewish refugees fleeing pogroms in Russia, it moved to Woodbridge, Connecticut following the construction of a new synagogue in 1961.
