Rothes

Rothes is a town in Moray, Scotland, south of Elgin and on the banks of the River Spey. The village has a population of 1209. At the south end of the village lie the remains of Rothes Castle, which dates from the 13th century. Sir Norman Leslie, the castle's owner, was host to King Edward I of England when he stayed there on 29 July 1296 during his triumphal march through Scotland following its conquest by him in 1296. The village and castle are associated with the Earl of Rothes.

Speyburn-Glenlivet distillery

The Speyburn-Glenlivet Distillery was founded in 1897 by John Hopkins & Company for the sum of £17,000. The site was chosen by John Hopkins himself for its unpolluted water supply from the Granty Burn, one of the major tributaries to the River Spey. Hopkins appointed the famous distillery architect Charles C Doig to design the distillery and to this day Speyburn has its classic pagoda ventilator, a hallmark of Doig's design.

Craigellachie Bridge

The Craigellachie Bridge is a cast iron arch bridge located at Craigellachie which is near to the village of Aberlour in Moray, Scotland. It was designed by the renowned civil engineer Thomas Telford and built from 1812–1814. The bridge has a single span of approximately 46 metres and was revolutionary for its time, in that it used an extremely slender arch which was not possible using traditional masonry construction.

Glen Grant is a Speyside distillery, that produces single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery was owned by Chivas Brothers Ltd, best known for their Chivas Regal blended scotch whisky. It is the world's second-biggest single malt whisky brand. Glen Grant was purchased by the Italian company Gruppo Campari in December 2005. Craigellachie, Moray

Craigellachie is a small village in Moray, Scotland, at the confluence of the River Spey and River Fiddich (whose valley or glen gives its name to the famous Scotch whisky Glenfiddich), in walking distance of the town of Aberlour. The name means rocky hill and was first applied to the cliff on which much of the village is sited, above the River Spey. Craigellachie dates back to at least 1750, when there was a ferry across the Spey where today's village now stands.
