Chorzów
Chorzów is a city in Silesia in southern Poland, near Katowice. Chorzów is one of the central districts of the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union - a metropolis with a population of 2 million. It is located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Rawa River (a tributary of the Vistula). Administratively, Chorzów is in the Silesian Voivodeship since 1999, previously Katowice Voivodeship, and before then, the Silesian Voivodeship.

Wujek Coal Mine
Wujek Coal Mine is a coal mine in Katowice, Poland. It is widely known in Poland as the place of the massacre of striking miners in 1981 (most often referred-to by the euphemism 'Pacification'). Mining operations began in the vicinity as early as the 16th century. The present mine, Oheim, was established in 1899 by a merger of six mining operations existing in Silesia (then a part of Germany). The peak Polish production was in 1979 (3.88 million tons that year).

Kościuszko Park
The Kosciuszko Park, which has existed since 1925, is one of the most famous and frequented parks in Katowice, Poland. It is situated at the street of the same name. The Upper Silesian Industrial Region (Polish: Górnośląski Okręg Przemysłowy, GOP; German: Oberschlesisches Industriegebiet) is a large industrial region in Poland. It lies mainly in the Silesian Voivodeship, centered around Katowice. It is situated in the northern part of Upper Silesian Coal Basin a home of altogether 5 million people, the southwest border of the Rybnik Coal Area and west borders with the Ostrava urban area. St. Michael's church, Katowice
Church of St. Michael Archangel (Polish: Kościół św. Michała Archanioła w Katowicach) is one of the oldest buildings in Katowice. It's located in Kościuszko Park, where it was moved in 1938 from the village Syrynia, where it was originally constructed in 1510. It is under the invocation of St. Michael. It has end-fitted log framework construction and shingled roof. Free-standing belltower was completed before 1679; it has historic lych-gate and wooden fence around the churchyard.
Silesia City Center
Silesia City Center is a shopping mall in Katowice, Silesia, Poland. It was opened in 2005 and it is the biggest mall in Europe. Its total area covers a few thousand square metres, of which 65 000 sq metres is a trade zone, 100 000 sq metres is a housing estate and 60 000 sq metres is an office site. It is situated in Katowice along 107 Chorzowska Road (the land previously belonged to the coal mine KWK Gottwald). The edifice was opened 18 November 2005.

There is a planned full reconstruction of a stadium that will take place in near future.
