Château de Padiès
The Château de Padiès is a mansion built on the site of a former castle, located in the outskirts of the village of Lempaut in the département of Tarn in southern France. The Château de Padiès is a unique Renaissance château complex set in the Lauragais, the land of Pastel — the Pays de Cocaigne — Cathar country and the land of the Troubadours. The Lauragais has often been likened to Tuscany, to where the blue “pastel” produced from the woad grown here was exported in the 15th century.
