Wayne is a township in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States, located less than 20 miles from Midtown Manhattan. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township had a total population of 54,717, reflecting an increase of 648 (+1.2%) from the 54,069 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 7,044 (+15.0%) from the 47,025 counted in the 1990 Census.

Preakness Stables
Preakness Stables was a Thoroughbred horse racing stable established by Massachusetts businessman Milton H. Sanford in Wayne, New Jersey at what today is the corner of Valley Road and Preakness Avenue. Milton Sanford named one of his horses Preakness who won the first running of the Dinner Party Stakes and for whom the Preakness Stakes is named. In addition to the New Jersey stable, Milton Sanford owned the 544-acre Preakness Stud Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.

Point View Dam
Point View Dam (National ID # NJ00236) is a dam in Wayne, Passaic County, New Jersey. The earthen gravity dam was constructed in 1964 to impound the water of Haycock Brook for municipal drinking water. It's 55 feet high with a length of 1100 feet at its crest. Both dam and reservoir are owned and operated by the Passaic Valley Water Commission, and stands as the largest of the Commission's four reservoirs. In 2009 it was slated for a state-funded restoration costing several million dollars.
