The strafing of the Little Egg Harbor Intermediate School was an incident in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, United States, in which a military aircraft on a training mission unintentionally fired dozens of cannon rounds while attempting to fire an aircraft mounted laser. The aircraft was within the training range, as was the target the laser was pointed at. The laser target was approximately 90 degrees off the side of the aircraft, but the bullets fire in front of the aircraft.

Engleside Hotel
Engleside Hotel was one of the most decorative and beautiful Victorian hotels that once stood on Engleside Avenue in Beach Haven (located on the southern end of Long Beach Island), New Jersey. It was completed by the start of the 1876 summer season, under the leadership of Robert Engle, and it quickly became one of the most popular resorts on Long Beach Island, along with the Baldwin Hotel located nearby. The hotel was torn down during WWII, and architectural pieces were auctioned off.
Manahawkin Bay Bridge
The Dorland J. Henderson Memorial Bridge, familiarly known as the Manahawkin Bay Bridge or (while technically inaccurate) The Causeway, is a steel girder bridge that spans Manahawkin Bay, carrying traffic along Route 72 between Long Beach Island (LBI) and the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township, in Ocean County, New Jersey. The bridge starts at Manahawkin and ends at Ship Bottom on Long Beach Island.
HMS Zebra (1777)
HMS Zebra was the first ship to bear the name in the British Navy. She was a 14 gun ship sloop of the Swan class, launched on 8 April 1777. She was abandoned and blown up after going aground on 22 October 1778 at Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, during the American Revolutionary War after only one year in service.

Atlantic Nuclear Power Plant
The Atlantic Nuclear Power Plant was a proposed floating nuclear power plant located off the coast of New Jersey. It was proposed in the 1970s by the Public Service Electric and Gas Company. Two Westinghouse 1,150 megawatt reactors were ordered in 1972, and another two Westinghouse 1,150 MW reactors were ordered in 1973. The four unit power plant proposal was canceled in 1978.
Little Egg Inlet
Little Egg Inlet is an inlet connecting the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Bay along the southeastern coast of New Jersey. Little Egg Inlet forms a maritime border separating Little Egg Harbor Township in southern Ocean County and Galloway Township in northeastern Atlantic County. Hurricane Irene made its second U.S. landfall on August 28, 2011, near Little Egg Inlet.
HMS Vulture (1776)
HMS Vulture was a 14 gun ship sloop of the Swan class, launched on 18 March 1776. She served during both the American Revolutionary War and the French Revolutionary War before being sold for disposal in 1802. The Vulture is perhaps best known for being the warship to which Benedict Arnold fled on the Hudson River in 1780 after unsuccessfully trying to betray the Continental Army's fortress at West Point, New York to the British.

HMS Cygnet was a 14 gun ship sloop of the Swan class, launched on 24 January 1776. She served during both the American Revolutionary War and the French Revolutionary War before being sold for disposal in 1802.

HMS Atalanta was a 14 gun ship sloop of the Swan class, launched on 12 August 1775. She served during both the American Revolutionary War and the French Revolutionary War, and was then renamed HMS Helena in March 1797 before being sold for disposal in 1802.
HMS Pegasus (1776)
HMS Pegasus was a 14 gun ship sloop of the Swan class, launched on 27 December 1776. She was commissioned the same month under Commander John Hamilton Gore and - after completing on 3 March 1777 - sailed for Newfoundland on 3 April. She was lost with all hands in a storm off Newfoundland in October.
HMS Swift (1777)
HMS Swift was a 14 gun ship sloop of the Swan class, launched on 1 January 1777. She was commissioned that month under Lieutenant George Keppel and sailed for North America on 27 March. She grounded while in action off Cape Henry on 22 November 1778 and was burnt to avoid capture.
