Autonomous University of Barcelona
The Autonomous University of Barcelona also known as UAB is a public university mostly located in Cerdanyola del Vallès, near the city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. As of 2012, it consists of 57 departments in the experimental, life, social and human sciences, spread among 13 faculties/schools. All these centers together award a total of 85 qualifications in the form of first degrees, diplomas, and engineering degrees.
Vallvidrera
Vallvidrera is a neighborhood of Vallvidrera, Tibidabo i les Planes of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona, Catalonia, in one of the sides of the Collserola hills (Tibidabo being one of those). There are excellent views over the city and the Mediterranean from Vallvidrera, on a clear day it's possible to see the peaks of Mallorca on the horizon. To the north, the snow-capped Pyrenees can often be seen.
Tibidabo
Tibidabo is a mountain overlooking Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. At 512 meters it is the tallest mountain in the Serra de Collserola. Rising sharply to the north-west, it affords spectacular views over the city and the surrounding coastline. There is an amusement park, a telecommunications tower, and a Catholic church, the Temple de Sagrat Cor, at the top, all of which are visible from most of the city.
Torre de Collserola
Torre de Collserola is a uniquely designed tower located on the Tibidabo hill in the Serra de Collserola, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was designed by architect Sir Norman Foster and by Spanish civil engineers Julio Martínez Calzón and Manuel Julià Vilardell, and built in 1991 by construction company Cubiertas y MZOV S.A. for the 1992 Summer Olympics. It features a pod for floor space like many towers but uses guy wires for lateral support like a mast.
Fabra Observatory
The Fabra Observatory is an astronomical observatory located in Barcelona, Catalonia, pointed towards the south at 415 m of altitude over the level of the sea. It was established in 1904 and belongs to the Reial Acadèmia de Ciències i Arts de Barcelona. Its main activity is the study of asteroids and comets. ALBA (synchrotron)
ALBA (meaning "Sunrise" in Catalan and also in Spanish) is a synchrotron radiation facility in Cerdanyola del Vallès near Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is constructed and operated by the CELLS (Consortium for the Exploitation of the Synchrotron Light Laboratory) consortium, and co-financed by the Spanish and Catalan governments.
Sabadell Airport
Sabadell Airport is located next to the city of Sabadell, 20 kilometres from Barcelona's city center. This, and the Cuatro Vientos Airport, are the most important airports for general aviation in Spain. There are more than 200 aircraft registered in this airport, doing around 150.000 operations per year. There are more than 400 people working in these facilities, including training schools, workshops, etc. This airport hosts the oldest aviation club in Spain.
Funicular de Vallvidrera
The Funicular de Vallvidrera, or Vallvidrera funicular, is a funicular railway in the Vallvidrera district of the city of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It connects the Peu de Funicular railway station on the Metro del Vallès suburban line (funicular station Vallvidrera Inferior), to the top of the Tibidabo hill (Vallvidrera Superior), with an intermediate stop just above the line's midpoint (Carretera de les Aigües). The line was opened in 1906 and rebuilt, with new cars, in 1998.

Bellaterra is a wealthy quarter of Cerdanyola del Vallès, in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. It's famous for being the location of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). The urbanisation of the neighbourhood started in 1929 by the pharmacist Bartomeu, who chartered a piece of land pertaining his father in law and built the Ferrocarrils de Catalunya railway station Bellaterra.

Sant Cugat Museum
The Sant Cugat Museum was opened on 23 April 2003; its mission was to oversee the conservation and dissemination of the historic, artistic and cultural heritage of Sant Cugat del Vallès. It is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network and has two centres: the Sant Cugat Monastery and Casa Aymat. In both areas there are spaces reserved for temporary exhibitions related to art, history and local and universal heritage.
