Berg (state)
Berg was a state – originally a county, later a duchy – in the Rhineland of Germany. Its capital was Düsseldorf. It existed as a distinct political entity from the early 12th to the 19th centuries.
University of Düsseldorf
Heinrich Heine University, located in Düsseldorf, Germany, is named after German poet and political thinker Heinrich Heine, who was born in Düsseldorf in 1797. It became a full-fledged university in 1965 and currently comprises faculties of law, medicine, philosophy, mathematics and natural sciences, and economics. Its current enrollment is about 20,000 students. The rector is Prof. Dr. Hans Michael Piper.

Düsseldorf-Flehe
Flehe is a borough of Düsseldorf. It les directly at the river Rhine, neighbouring to Volmerswerth, Himmelgeist and Bilk. The name Flehe comes from the middle-age German word flet for stream or flee for "near the stream". Flehr became a part of Düsseldorf in 1384, but it was mentioned first time in 1402. Although Flehe is a part of Düsseldorf, it has a structure dominated by agriculture.
Volmerswerth
Volmerswerth is a borough in western Düsseldorf, District 3, by the river Rhine. It borders the boroughs Hamm, Bilk and Flehe. Its area is 2.17 km². Despite increaseing urbanisation, the rural environs of Volmerswerth still draw many people from Düsseldorf and the surrounding Rhineland conurbation. The area is popular with walkers and cyclists, whilst in-line skaters are often seen by the Rhine at weekends.
Mitsubishi Electric Halle
The Mitsubishi Electric Halle (formerly the Philips Halle) is an indoor arena located in Düsseldorf, Germany that was opened in 1971. The capacity of the arena is up to 7,500 people. It was originally named after Dutch electronics conglomerate Philips. It was renamed the Mitsubishi Electric Halle in April 2011. It was home of the RheinEnergie Köln, for Euroleague games, for the 2006/2007 season.

Friedrichstadt is an urban borough of Düsseldorf. It is in the south of the Central District of Düsseldorf, north of Bilk, west of Oberbilk, and east of Unterbilk. Friedrichstadt was completely planned and constructed in the middle of the 19th century. The construction began in 1854 after it was planned completely in a tesselated paradigm. It was named in honour to King Frederick William IV of Prussia.

Holthausen is an urban borough of Düsseldorf. It is located south of Oberbilk, west of Reisholz, north of Benrath and east of Itter and Himmelgeist. An natural border is the river Rhine. Holthausen's history is connected to the history of Itter, Himmelgeist, Benrath, Wersten and Bilk. Until the 18th century its name was Langenweyer. First settlements in that area are form the 9th century before Christ, with countinous settlements existing since the 2nd century after Christ.
Flehe Bridge
The Flehe Bridge, is a single tower cable stayed bridge located in Düsseldorf,over the Rhine. It connects the A 46 motorway from the left bank of the Rhine with the Bergisches Land on the right bank and the south of Düsseldorf. It forms at the same time the southern part of the ring of motorways around Düsseldorf. It includes a pedestrian and cyclist strip.
Düsseldorf-Unterbilk
Unterbilk is an urban borough in the 3rd District of the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital Düsseldorf. It is the seat of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, the tower Rheinturm and, together with the Düsseldorf harbour the centre of the media industry in Düsseldorf.
Reisholz Rhine Powerline Crossing
Reisholz Rhine Powerline Crossing is a powerline crossing of Rhine River in Düsseldorf south of Holthausen substation, which was built in 1917 and originally part of the 110 kV-line between Reisholz Power Station and Goldenberg Power Station. This line was the first 110 kV-powerline of RWE. Later the line was transformed into a 220 kV line with 12 conductors arranged in 4 levels in an unusual double danube pylon mode.

District 3, Düsseldorf
District 3 is a central city district of Düsseldorf, the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and the city's most populous and one of its most diverse districts. Stadtbezirk 3 covers an area of 24,20 square kilometres and (as of December 2009) has about 110,000 inhabitants. The northern quarters in close proximity to district 1 - like Biedermeier era Friedrichstadt and Oberbilk - have flowing transitions towards Stadtmitte, Düsseldorf's central business district.
District 2, Düsseldorf
District 2 is a city district of Düsseldorf, the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The district covers an area of 7,18 square kilometres and (as of December 2009) has about 57,000 inhabitants. District 2 is the smallest of all districts in Düsseldorf and next to the central city district 1, it is the only of Düsseldorf's districts to not touch the city limits.
Düsseldorf-Friedrichstadt station
Düsseldorf-Friedrichstadt station is a through station in the district of Friedrichstadt in the city of Düsseldorf in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The station was opened on 29 May 1988 on the new line opened by the Prussian state railways on 1 October 1891 between the Hamm Railway bridge and Gerresheim as part of the construction of Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof. It has two platform tracks and it is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.

Düsseldorf Volksgarten station is in the district of Oberbilk in central Düsseldorf in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Cologne–Duisburg line and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. it is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn lines S 1 and S 6 and by line 706 of the Düsseldorf tram network, which has an adjoining stop. In 2002, the number of entering, exiting and transferring passengers is around 10,000–15,000 per working day.

The station is served by line S 11 of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn, running between Düsseldorf Airport and Bergisch Gladbach every 20 minutes during the day.

Nievenheim station is a station in the district of Nievenheim in the town of Dormagen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Lower Left Rhine Railway and it is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station. The station was opened between 1880 and 1897. The station is served by line S 11 of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn, running between Düsseldorf Airport and Bergisch Gladbach every 20 minutes during the day.

Mickeln House
Mickeln House is a manor house in Düsseldorf's Himmelgeist neighbourhood. It was erected in 1843 on the site of Haus Mickeln, which went back to 1210. As that building was destroyed in a fire in 1836, Herzog Ludwig von Arenberg used an insurance payment to have renowned architect, Josef Niehaus, rebuild the manor as a summer residence. Niehaus used engravings of villas built in the 16th century by Galeazzo Alessi as a template. The manor has a square plan, each side measuring 19.55 metres.
