The Beaches
The Beaches (also known as "The Beach") is a neighbourhood and popular tourist destination located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the east side of the "Old" City of Toronto. The original boundaries of the neighbourhood are from Fallingbrook Avenue on the east to Kingston Road on the north, to Woodbine Avenue on the west, south to Lake Ontario. The Beaches is part of the east-central district of Toronto.
Malvern Collegiate Institute
Malvern Collegiate Institute is a Toronto high school that was founded in 1903 as "East Toronto High School", in what was then the village of East Toronto. When the village was annexed by Toronto in 1908, the name of the street the school was located on was changed from Charles Street to Malvern Avenue (as Toronto already had a Charles Street), and the name of the institution was changed shortly thereafter.
Danforth GO Station
Danforth GO Station is a railway station on GO Transit's Lakeshore East line in Toronto, Canada. The station is situated in the east end of the old City of Toronto, at Main Street, south of Danforth Avenue. The TTC's Main Street station on the Bloor–Danforth line of the subway is a short distance to the north, but is not connected to it directly. Trains on the GO Transit Stouffville line pass through the station, but do not stop.

The Church of St. Aidan is an Anglican church in The Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto, Canada. The church has about 400 members, and 150 people show up on Sundays. The current priest-in-charge is the Rev'd Lucy Reid. The church's history begin with Pastor H. Dixon who set up a tent around 1880 to serve the residents of the small village in the area.
East Toronto
East Toronto, Ontario (Incorporated 1888, annexed by Toronto in 1908) was an incorporated community in what is today a part of the city of Toronto, Canada. It covered much of what is today the Upper Beaches neighbourhood, stretching up to Danforth Avenue in the north. The central street in the community was Main Street, running south from Danforth to Kingston Road. The main commercial centre of the town was located at the intersection of Main and Lake View (now Main and Gerrard).
George Davis House (Toronto)
The George Davis House, is a house in Toronto, Ontario built in 1919 and designated as a Toronto Heritage Property on September 30, 2004. The house is located at 40 Kingswood Road in the Beaches area of eastern Toronto and part of the Kingswood Road South Heritage Conservation District. The house was built for George Davis, an editor with Maclean's Publishing, and was later occupied by F.S.
Fox Theatre (Toronto)
The Fox Theatre is a cinema in the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario at the intersection of Queen Street and Beech Avenue. It has operated since 1914. The Fox Theatre has a single screen and shows a mixture of second-run movies, independent and foreign films, and classic favourites.
The Goof
The Goof, officially known as the Garden Gate, is a well known restaurant in the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto. Founded in 1952 it serves Canadian Chinese cuisine as well as diner fare such as breakfast and hamburgers. Its nickname comes from the restaurant's neon sign. The word "good" is vertical on the sign and "food" horizontal, so when at some point in its history the "d" in "good" burnt out, it read "Goo F".
Ted Reeve Arena
The Ted Reeve Arena is a multi-purpose arena that is located on 175 Main Street and Gerrard Street East in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The building was opened in 1954 and named as such in commemoration to Canadian athlete Ted Reeve. The arena was also used for interior shots as the home of the fictional "Hamilton Mustangs" in the 1986 movie Youngblood starring Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze.
Beaches International Jazz Festival
The Beaches International Jazz Festival is a 10-day music festival held each year in the lakeside “Beach” community of Toronto in the month of July. The Festival takes place across a number of venues. Stage concerts are held in several different parks within the area and also along a 2 kilometer stretch of the Beach mainstreet - Queen Street East.
