Phantasialand
Phantasialand is an amusement park in Brühl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany that attracts approximately 1,75 million visitors annually. The park was opened in 1967 by Gottlieb Löffelhardt and Richard Schmidt. Although starting as a family-oriented park, Phantasialand has also added thrill rides, especially during recent years.
Black Mamba (roller coaster)
Black Mamba is an inverted roller coaster built by Bolliger & Mabillard in the German theme park Phantasialand. The ride is situated in the "Deep in Africa" area of the park and is named after the black mamba snake.
Winjas
Winjas is the generic term for two spinning roller coasters, Winjas Fear and Winjas Force, at Phantasialand in Germany. They are located in Wuze Town, an indoor area of the park. The rides consist of two similar tracks which mirror each other at first but also feature some unique sections. The cars seat four people, two facing backwards, and freely spin after the first drop. In theory, this would mean every single ride would spin in a unique pattern.
Colorado Adventure
Colorado Adventure is a steel roller coaster located at Phantasialand in Brühl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. During construction it was decided to opt for a roller coaster in a Western style rather than a traditional roller coaster. The name Colorado is derived from the U.S. state of the same name, well known during the ‘Wild West’ period in the USA. The ride has been voted by fans as one of the world’s best examples of the mine roller coaster.
Temple of the Night Hawk
Temple of the Night Hawk is a enclosed roller coaster located at Phantasialand. Founded in 1988 after 18 months of construction, the ride was originally called ‘'Space Center'’. The ride led passengers past models of rockets and emulated asteroids and the darkened hall was dimly lit with thousands of tiny spots of light to resemble stars.
The Crypt (Kings Dominion)
The Crypt is a HUSS suspended Top Spin located at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia. The Crypt was also the name of a giant top spin at Kings Dominion's sister park, Kings Island (King's Island's version closed on October 30, 2011 while the King's Dominion version still operates). Both rides were originally themed after the movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, until Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and the other three Paramount Parks were sold to the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company.
