École nationale supérieure des mines de Nancy
The école nationale supérieure des mines de Nancy (ENSMN; also referred to as les Mines, Mines de Nancy or Mines Nancy) is one of the prestigious French generalist engineering Grandes Ecoles. The ENSMN is an establishment of teaching and research in engineering with about 800 students, 60 permanent professors, 400 researchers including a hundred doctorants. It is located in the city of Nancy, in the east of France, which gathers 48 000 students.
Meurthe (river)
The Meurthe is a river in north-eastern France, right tributary to the river Moselle. Its source is in the Vosges mountains, near the Col de la Schlucht in the Vosges département. It gave its name to the present French département Meurthe-et-Moselle and the former (before the change in the Franco-German border after the Franco-Prussian war of 1870) département Meurthe.
Battle of Nancy (1944)
The Battle of Nancy in September 1944 was a 10-day battle on the Western Front of World War II in which the U.S. 3rd Army defeated German forces defending the approaches to Nancy and crossings over the Moselle River to the north and south of the city. The battle resulted in U.S. forces fighting their way across the Moselle and liberating Nancy.
Stade Marcel Picot
Stade Marcel Picot is a football (soccer) stadium located in Tomblaine, France, near the city of Nancy. Built in 1926, it is used by Ligue 1 soccer team AS Nancy. The stadium was completely rebuilt and inaugurated in its new configuration in 2003. It is now able to hold 20,087 people. Since summer 2010, Marcel-Picot is one of the very few French stadiums equipped with artificial turf.

Opéra national de Lorraine
Opéra national de Lorraine is an opera company and opera house located in the city of Nancy in the French province of Lorraine. Musée de l'École de Nancy
The Musée de l'École de Nancy is a museum devoted to the École de Nancy, an Art Nouveau movement founded in 1901 by Émile Gallé, Victor Prouvé, Louis Majorelle, Antonin Daum and Eugène Vallin in the city of Nancy in Lorraine (France). They were joined by other artists, notably Jacques Grüber. The museum, opened in 1964, is set in the former house of a patron of the École de Nancy, Eugène Corbin. The architect was Lucien Weissenburger.
Arboretum d'Amance
The Arboretum d'Amance (9 hectares) is an arboretum located in Champenoux, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Lorraine, France. It is managed by the Centre INRA de Nancy, a branch of the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), and open on the third Saturday of the warmer months; an admission fee is charged. The arboretum was created in 1900 with two objectives: as a research facility for students at the forestry school, and to study acclimatization of exotic species in the Lorraine.

The Arboretum de l'Abiétinée (1.5 hectares) is an arboretum located between Rue Pasteur and the Grand Allée in Malzéville, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Lorraine, France. The garden is strongly linked to the history of French Art Nouveau but currently unmaintained. The private arboretum was created in 1902 by Eugène Schott, mayor of Malzéville and also vice president of the Société centrale d'horticulture de Nancy.

Porte Désilles
The porte Désilles (or mémorial Désilles) is a triumphal arch in the French city of Nancy. It is located on place du Luxembourg, on the northern extension of cours Léopold and the esplanade du Souvenir-Français, at the junction of rue Désilles, rue de Metz and rue de la Craffe. It was built between 1782 and 1784 to designs by the architect Didier-Joseph-François Mélin on the initiative of the Comte de Stainville, commander in chief of Lorraine.

Bibliothèque municipale de Nancy
The Bibliothèque municipale de Nancy (est. 1750) is a public library in Nancy, France. It houses approximately 400,000 documents, books, maps, plans and prints. Polish king Stanisław Leszczyński began the collection in 1750. The library is located in a former university building at 43, rue Stanislas, in the center of Nancy, close to the Place Stanislas and the Gare de Nancy-Ville.
