Poowong, Victoria
Poowong is a small dairying town located in South Gippsland, Victoria. At the 2006 census, Poowong had a population of 587. It is 111 kilometres from Melbourne and about eight kilometres north-west of Korumburra. The Post Office opened around January 1878. For a town of its size, Poowong is quite well off with regard to its facilities.
Jeetho railway station
Jeetho was a railway station on the South Gippsland line in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. The station was opened during the 1890s, Jeetho was later closed during the 1950s along with the nearby station of Whitelaw. There is still a Station Street in the Jeetho township area, this is a gravel and dirt road that leads to farm gates, but no longer to the former Jeetho Station.
