Lattingtown, New York
The Village of Lattingtown is a village located within the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York in the United States. The population was 1,739 at the 2010 census. Initially, Lattingtown was a marsh, populated by Matinecock Indians who lived nearby. The Matinecocks sold the area in 1660 to Richard Latting and his son, Josiah Latting. The Lattings sold marsh reeds for thatched-roof houses.

The John P. Humes Japanese Stroll Garden is a 4-acre Japanese garden in Mill Neck, New York, providing a retreat for passive recreation and contemplation. The garden was begun in 1960 for Ambassador and Mrs. John P. Humes upon their return from Japan, and built over the next four years. In 1980 it was donated to the Wild Life Sanctuary, and opened to the public in 1987. In 1993 the Garden Conservancy assumed management of the garden.
Glen Street (LIRR station)
Glen Street is a station along the Oyster Bay Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located on Glen Street (former NY 107), near Elm Avenue, in the City of Glen Cove, New York. Glen Street station was the terminus of the branch when it was built on May 16, 1867, until the line was extended to Locust Valley in 1869. Glen Cove's first railroad station was located to the of the current station on the land now occupied by a Burger King. It was replaced in 1888.

Glen Cove is a station along the Oyster Bay Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located between Pearsall Avenue and Norfolk Lane north of Duck Pond Road in the city of Glen Cove, New York. Glen Cove station, (née Nassau), was built in 1895 at the behest of the "Gold Coast" millionaires such as the Pratts and J.P. Morgan who were looking for a more dignified station to disembark. This explains why this station was built roughly a mile from the Glen Street station.
