Northfield Mount Hermon School
Northfield Mount Hermon, commonly referred to as NMH, is a co-educational independent boarding high school for students in grades 9–12. The school is located on the banks of the Connecticut River, adjacent to the town of Gill, Massachusetts, United States.
WNMH
WNMH was a high school radio station broadcasting a Variety format. Formerly licensed to Northfield, Massachusetts, USA, the station was owned by Northfield Mount Hermon School and featured programing from ABC Radio. Schell Bridge
The Schell Bridge is a steel Pennsylvania truss bridge across the Connecticut River in the town of Northfield, Massachusetts. It has a close history with Northfield Mount Hermon, an elite preparatory school in the town. It was designed by Edward S. Shaw. The bridge was closed in 1987, and steel plates were welded across each portal to prevent access.
Bennett's Meadow Bridge
The Route 10 bridge, also known as Bennett's Meadow Bridge is a 215.5-metre steel stringer bridge crossing the Connecticut River in the town of Northfield, Massachusetts. The bridge carries state highway Route 10 and was built in 1969.
Rail Bridge, Northfield, Massachusetts
The rail crossing of the Connecticut River at this location originates from the Vermont and Massachusetts Railroad. The V&MRR was chartered in 1844 and completed an extension between Millers Falls, Massachusetts and Brattleboro, Vermont by 1850. Alvah Crocker, a paper and railroad magnate and U.S. Representative, was the first president of the V&MRR. Initially, the V&MRR was operated by Crocker's Fitchburg Railroad. This rail bridge is used by Amtrak's Vermonter passenger service.
