Herzogtum Lauenburg
Herzogtum Lauenburg (English: Duchy of Lauenburg) is the southernmost Kreis, or district, of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is bordered by (from the west and clockwise) the district of Stormarn, the city of Lübeck, the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the state of Lower Saxony, and the city state of Hamburg. The district of Herzogtum Lauenburg is named after the former Duchy of Saxe-Lauenburg.
Elbe–Lübeck Canal
The Elbe-Lübeck Canal (also known as "Elbe-Trave Canal") is an artificial waterway in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It connects the Elbe and Trave rivers, hence constituting an accessway from the Elbe to the Baltic Sea. It is 67 kilometres long; the northern terminus is Lübeck, the southern terminus is the town of Lauenburg. The town of Mölln is along the canal.
Katharineum
The Katharineum zu Lübeck is a humanistic gymnasium founded 1531 in the Hanseatic city Lübeck, Germany. In 2006 the 475th anniversary of this Latin school was celebrated with several events. The school uses the buildings of a former Franciscan monastery next to Saint Catherine Church, which was extended in the 1880s. At the Katharineum it is possible to choose Latin as the first foreign language. In year nine it is also possible to choose ancient Greek as the third foreign language.

Niederegger was founded by Johann Georg Niederegger on 1 March 1806 in Lübeck and is since known for their marzipan for about 200 years. The company is a family-owned limited private partnership. Niederegger marzipan is classed as 100% marzipan and contains much less sugar in comparison to other marzipan makers.

St. Anne's Museum is a museum and art exhibition hall located near St. Giles Church and next to the synagogue in the south-east of the city of Lübeck, Germany. The main building was previously an Augustinian nunnery, St. Anne's Priory, built 1502–1515 in late Brick Gothic style.
Lübeck Cathedral
The Lübeck Cathedral (German: Dom zu Lübeck, or colloquially Lübecker Dom) is a large brick Lutheran cathedral in Lübeck, Germany and part of Lübeck's world heritage. It was started in 1173 by Henry the Lion as a cathedral for the Bishop of Lübeck. It was partly destroyed in a bombing raid in World War II (1942), and later reconstructed. The organ by Arp Schnitger was lost in the fire. The current church was finished in 1982.
Oberschule zum Dom
The Oberschule zum Dom, a grammar school in Lübeck and the Schleswig-Holstein area of Germany was founded in 1905 during the final years of the German Empire under Kaiser Wilhelm II. The school survived the bombing carried out on the city of Lübeck by the Royal Air Force during the second world war. The School has long been a Gymnasium. It ranks in the top three schools in Lübeck and has always retained a special relationship with archrival the Katharineum zu Lübeck.

Lauenburgische Seen is an Amt ("collective municipality") in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated around Ratzeburg. The Amt was renamed by 1.1.2007 from Amt Ratzeburg-Land. Its seat is in the district city Ratzeburg, itself not part of the Amt. The Amt Lauenburgische Seen consists of the following municipalities (population in 2005 between brackets):
St. Catherine's Church, Lübeck
St. Catherine Church in Lübeck is a Brick Gothic church which belonged to a former Franciscan monastery in the name of Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The Church was built in the early 14th century. It is part of the Lübeck world heritage and used as a museum church and exhibition hall by the Lübeck museums since 1980.
University of Lübeck
The University of Lübeck is a research university in Northern Germany which focuses almost entirely on medicine and sciences with applications in medicine. In both 2006 and 2009, the University of Lübeck was ranked No. 1 in medicine among all universities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland according to the CHE Hochschulranking. In Computer Science and Molecular Life Science, the University was ranked No. 2 in the 2009 evaluation.
Lübeck Academy of Music
The Lübeck Academy of Music in Lübeck, Germany, is the only higher level music school in the northernmost state of Schleswig-Holstein. The school is located in the World Heritage city of Lübeck, a historic hanseatic city. The school was founded in 1973 but its tradition goes back to 1911. The enrollment is approximately 500 students. The teaching staff includes Shmuel Ashkenasi, Sabine Meyer, James Tocco and others; current president is Inge-Susann Römhild.

Lübeck Waste Treatment Facility
The Lübeck Waste Treatment Facility is a mechanical biological treatment plant located near the city of Lübeck in Germany. The facility treats the entire municipality's waste stream utilising a municipal waste treatment process consisting of mechanical sorting and anaerobic digestion. The facility has the ability to process up to 150,000 tpa of mixed waste. This facility was constructed in 2005 at Luebeck-Niemark and utilises the Haase MBT process.
