Saalburg
The Saalburg is a Roman fort located on the Taunus ridge northwest of Bad Homburg, Hesse, Germany. It is a Cohort Fort belonging to the Limes Germanicus, the Roman linear border fortification of the German provinces. The Saalburg, located just off the main road roughly halfway between Bad Homburg and Wehrheim is the most completely reconstructed Roman fort in Germany. Since 2005, as part of the Upper German limes, it forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Lahn, Hesse
Lahn was city which was created on January 1, 1977 when the two cities of Gießen and Wetzlar were merged. It was named after the river Lahn to make the merger one of equals. However as the merger was very unpopular as well as inefficient—it had been imposed on the cities against the will of almost all inhabitants—it was rescinded on July 31, 1979; so the city Lahn only existed for two and a half years.

Philipp-Reis-Schule, Friedrichsdorf
The Philipp-Reis-Schule is a comprehensive school and one of two secondary schools, the other being Rhein-Main International Montessori School (RIMS), in Friedrichsdorf, Hesse, Germany. The eponym is Philipp Reis (1834–1874). The school has approximately 110 teachers and 1,600 students. In school year 2006/2007 the school time at the Gymnasium at the Philipp-Reis-Schule was reduced from nine to eight years.
Baitul Huda, Usingen
The Baitul Huda (House of Guidance) in Usingen is a mosque in Germany run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMJ) and was inaugurated on September 7, 2004 by Mirza Masroor Ahmad. Its two prayer rooms are 77 m² each. The community in Usingen has 160 members. The mosque was partially burned in the morning of December 23, 2004. A lot of people of Usingen made donations for the reconstruction of the mosque. After the reconstruction a tree in the entrance was plant as a sign of friendship.
Adlerhorst
Adlerhorst (Eagle's eyrie) was a World War II bunker complex in Germany, located within Kransberg Castle (incorporated into Usingen in 1971), Wetterau in the Taunus mountains in the province of Hesse. Designed by Albert Speer as Adolf Hitler's main military command complex, it was reassigned by Hitler in February 1940 to Luftwaffe chief Hermann Göring as his headquarters for the Battle of Britain, later serving as the Führer's only during the 1944/5 Ardennes Offensive.
Gießen station
Gießen railway station is the main railway station in Gießen, Hesse, Germany. The station is a Category 2 station is used by 20,000 passengers daily. The station was opened on 25 August 1850 and is located on the Main-Weser Railway (Kassel – Frankfurt) and Dill railway (Siegen – Gießen). The current station reception building was built between 1904 and 1911. The main original station building is a historic landmark and has been protected.
Kransberg Castle
Kransberg Castle is situated on a steep rock near Kransberg (incorporated into Usingen in 1971), a village with about 800 inhabitants in the Taunus mountains in the German province of Hesse. The medieval building, which acquired its current appearance in the late 19th century, served military and intelligence purposes in World War II and during the Cold War.

The station is located next to a level crossing over the road to Dutenhofener See.
