Mont-Blanc (department)
Mont-Blanc was the name of a département of the First French Empire. It was named after Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe. It was formed in 1792, when the Savoy region, (part of the Kingdom of Sardinia) was occupied by the French. The department ceased to exist following Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo when the territory was restored to its former rulers.

Arc (Savoie)
The Arc is a 128-kilometre-long river in the Savoie département of south-eastern France. It is a left tributary of the Isère River, which it joins at Chamousset, approximately 15 km downstream from Albertville. Its source is near the border with Italy, in the Graian Alps, northeast of Bonneval-sur-Arc. The valley of the Arc, the Maurienne, is an important transport artery between France and Italy.
Chaise (river)
The Chaise, also known as the Monthoux, is a mountain river of eastern France. It flows through the departments Savoie and Haute-Savoie. It is a right tributary of the Arly which it joins in Ugine where, in the mid nineteenth century, it was crossed by a wooden bridge.

The Bauges Mountains (Massif des Bauges) is a mountain range in eastern France, stretching from the city of Annecy to the city of Chambéry, which is part of the French Prealps.
Théâtre des Cérémonies
Théâtre des Cérémonies was a temporary stadium in Albertville, France. Built to only host the opening and closing ceremonies for the 1992 Winter Olympics, the circular shape stadium was immediately disassembled following the games. The stadium held 35,000 and was built in 1992 like a circus. Part of the stadium was shipped to Barcelona and used during the 1992 Summer Olympics. During its existence, it was the largest such temporary structure ever built.
Tamié Abbey
Tamié Abbey (Abbaye de Tamié, or Abbaye Notre-Dame-de-Tamié) is a Cistercian monastery, located in the Bauges, Savoie, France. It was founded in 1132, as a daughter house of Bonnevaux Abbey, by Peter of Tarentaise, who was also the first abbot. It continues as a Trappist community of 30 monks, famous for its cheese, Abbaye de Tamié.
Fier (river)
The Fier is a 71.9 km long river in the Haute-Savoie and Savoie départements, southeastern France. Its source is at Manigod, in the Aravis Range. It flows generally west. It is a left tributary of the Rhone into which it flows at Seyssel. The Chéran is among its tributaries.

The Château de Chevron is a redesigned and remodelled castle in the commune of Mercury in the Savoie département of France. It was owned by the powerful Chevron Villette family.
La halle de glace Olympique
La halle de glace Olympique (French: Olympic Ice Hall) is an indoor arena located in Albertville, France. For the 1992 Winter Olympics, it hosted the figure skating and the short track speed skating events. The site was constructed on ten internal pillars. Its ice was laid down on 14 cm foundation, then 7 cm of insulation, 7 cm of screed, and finally, 4 cm of ice. The ice temperature was kept between -4 to -7 °C (25 to 19 °F) depending upon the sporting discipline.

Roselend Dam
The Roselend Dam is an arch-buttress dam located 5 km east of Beaufort in the Savoie department of the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is located just west and below the Cormet de Roselend mountain pass. The dam was designed by Coyne et Bellier and construction began in 1955. The reservoir began to fill in 1960, the power station was operational in 1961 and the dam complete in 1962.
