Wood County, West Virginia
Wood County is a county located in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of 2010, the population was 86,956. Its county seat is Parkersburg. Wood County is included in the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna, West Virginia-Ohio (part) Metropolitan Statistical Area. Wood County was formed in 1798 from the western part of Harrison County and it was named for James Wood, governor of Virginia from 1796 to 1799.
Belpre, Ohio
Belpre is a city in Washington County, Ohio, United States, along the Ohio River. The town was originally named Belle Prairie or "Beautiful Prairie. " Part of the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area, it is located about 14 miles downriver from Marietta. In 1870 the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad completed the Parkersburg Bridge (CSX) across the river; at 7,140 feet, it was reportedly the longest in the world. The population was 6,441 at the 2010 census.

It is the third largest city by population in the Parkersburg-Vienna-Marietta metropolitan area. Incorporated in 1935, the city was named by founders for the town of Vienna, New Jersey. Memorial Bridge (Parkersburg, West Virginia)
The Memorial Bridge, locally known as the toll bridge, crosses the Ohio River connecting Belpre, Ohio and Parkersburg, West Virginia. The bridge is an alternate route to access US 50 from central Parkersburg, West Virginia. The bridge was completed circa 1954, and is of a steel truss design. It accommodates two lanes of traffic, one in either direction.
Parkersburg–Belpre Bridge
The Parkersburg–Belpre Bridge is a four-lane cantilever bridge that connects Parkersburg, West Virginia to Belpre, Ohio across the Ohio River. The bridge was completed in 1980. The bridge had been signed US 50 until June 13, 2008, when US 50 was re-routed to the Blennerhassett Island Bridge a few miles to the west, as part of the completion of the Corridor D project around Parkersburg.
Parkersburg Bridge (CSX)
The Parkersburg Bridge crosses the Ohio River between Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Belpre, Ohio. Designed by Jacob Linville, the bridge has 46 spans; 25 deck plate girder, 14 deck truss, 6 through truss, and 1 through plate girder. The bridge was constructed in 1868-1870 by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. When completed in 1870, the bridge was reportedly the longest in the world at 7,140 feet . The approach spans were replaced 1898 - 1900, and the river spans were replaced 1904 - 1905.
