Nürburgring
The Nürburgring is a motorsports complex around the village of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located about 70 km south of Cologne, and 120 km northwest of Frankfurt. It features a Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a much longer old "North loop" track which was built in the 1920s around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains.
Vulkaneifel
Vulkaneifel is a district (Kreis) in the northwest of the state Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is the least densely populated district in the state and the fourth most sparsely populated district in Germany. The administrative centre of the district is in Daun. Neighboring districts are Euskirchen, Ahrweiler, Mayen-Koblenz, Cochem-Zell, Bernkastel-Wittlich, and Bitburg-Prüm.

Hotspot (geology)
The places known as hotspots or hot spots in geology are volcanic regions thought to be fed by underlying mantle that is anomalously hot compared with the mantle elsewhere. They may be unanimously hot, and provide a great deal of molten magma. They may be on, near to, or far from tectonic plate boundaries. There are two hypotheses to explain them. One suggests that they are due to hot mantle plumes that rise as thermal diapirs from the core-mantle boundary.
2004 European Grand Prix
The 2004 European Grand Prix was a Formula One race held on May 30, 2004 at the Nürburgring. The race was noticeable due to the race strategy employed by Ferrari. Michael Schumacher extended his gap over his rivals to close to 18 seconds in the first 7 laps before pitting, thus exiting in 6th place after the pit-stop.
Eifel Transmitter
The Eifel Transmitter is an FM and TV transmission facility for the German broadcasting company of SWR and is located on the Scharteberg near Kirchweiler, Germany. Until 1985, the Scharteberg transmitter used a 160 metre tall guyed mast. However this mast did not allow good reception in deep valleys, so in 1985 a new, 302 metre tall, guyed, steel framework mast was built, becoming the tallest structure of Rhineland-Palatinate.
2005 European Grand Prix
The 2005 European Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on May 29, 2005 at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany. The race, contested over 59 laps, was the seventh round of the 2005 Formula One season, the 49th running of the European Grand Prix, and the 15th European Grand Prix as a standalone event (i.e. not an honorific title awarded to an existing event). It was the second of a series of six races held within eight weeks.
Hoher List Observatory
The Hoher List Observatory (German: Observatorium Hoher List) is an astronomical observatory located about 60 km south of Bonn, Germany, near the town of Daun in the mountain range of Eifel. The observatory is operated by the Argelander Institute for Astronomy of the University of Bonn. Until the 1940s, Bonn astronomical observations were carried out mainly from Argelander's old observatory in Bonn itself.
Rock am Ring and Rock im Park
The Rock am Ring (Rock at the Ring) and Rock im Park (Rock in the Park) festivals are two simultaneous rock music festivals held annually in Germany. While Rock am Ring takes place at the Nürburgring racetrack {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:50|20|10|N|06|56|48|E| | |name= }} in the west of Germany, Rock im Park takes place around the Frankenstadion {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:49|25|44|N|11|07|19|E| | |name= }} in Nuremberg, in the south of Germany.
2006 European Grand Prix
The 2006 European Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany on May 7, 2006. The race, contested over 60 laps, was the fifth round of the 2006 Formula One season. It was won by Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher who took his second victory of the season. Polesitter Fernando Alonso finished in second position for the Renault team, whilst the second Ferrari of Felipe Massa achieved his first podium finish of the season with third place.
2007 European Grand Prix
The 2007 European Grand Prix (Originally 2007 German Grand Prix) was the tenth race of the 2007 Formula One season. It was held from 20 to July 22 at the Nürburgring. On August 29, 2006 it was announced that the European Grand Prix had been removed from the F1 calendar for the 2007 season. Since then there has only been one GP hosted in Germany each year, alternating between Hockenheimring and Nürburgring. However, the name for this Grand Prix was in doubt.

Südschleife
The Nürburgring Südschleife (south loop) was a German motor racing circuit which was built at the same time as the world-famous Nürburgring Nordschleife (north loop). These two layouts were joined together by the Start und Ziel (start/finish) area and could therefore be driven as one track that was over 28 kilometres long.
Ring°racer
ring°racer is a Formula One-themed roller coaster which was due to open on August 15, 2009 at the Nürburgring race course as part of the Nürburgring 2009 project. It was originally planned to accelerate from 0 to 217 kilometres per hour in 2.5 seconds. parallel to the grand prix track. However, two defects in the launch system mean its opening has been delayed until 2013. On 3 September 2009, a series of explosions in the pneumatic system caused injuries to seven people, and shattered windows.

Lissingen Castle
Lissingen Castle is a well-preserved former moated castle dating to the 13th century. It is located on the River Kyll in Gerolstein in the administrative district of Vulkaneifel in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. From the outside it appears to be a single unit, but it is a double castle; an estate division in 1559 created the so-called lower castle and upper castle, which continue to have separate owners.

The Wallender Born or Wallenborn [1 1] (popularly known as the Brubbel) is a cold water geyser in the village Wallenborn (Eifel district, Germany). It is adjacent to the reactivated 2006 Geyser Andernach on the value Namedyer an active cold water geyser in Germany. Experts disagree on whether the Wallender Born can be described as eruptive course. At least gas periodic outbreaks have witnessed since time immemorial.
