It is served by long-distance trains, mostly ICE services running on the Cologne–Frankfurt high-speed rail line. It is the largest railway station serving an airport in Germany with about 23,000 passengers each day. The station is served by 210 daily long-distance trains, of which 185 are Intercity-Expresses.
Rhein-Main Air Base
Rhein-Main Air Base was a U.S. Air Force / NATO military airbase near the city of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It occupied the south side of Frankfurt International Airport. Its airport codes are discontinued. Established in 1945, Rhein-Main Air Base was the primary airlift and passenger hub for U.S. forces in Europe. It was billed as the "Gateway to Europe". It closed December 30, 2005.
Frankfurter Kreuz
The Frankfurter Kreuz is an Autobahn interchange in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where the autobahns A3 and A5 meet. The interchange was originally to be built from 1931 to 1933, but due to World War II construction was not finished until 1957. It underwent massive remodeling in the 1990s, as it had been frequently overloaded due to excess traffic. Today, both autobahns have ten lanes.

The station opened on March 14, 1972 together with a new passenger terminal (Terminal Mitte, now called Terminal 1). At the time it was only the second railway station serving an airport in Germany.

Schloß Wolfsgarten is a former hunting seat of the ruling family of Hesse-Darmstadt, located in the German state of Hessen, approximately 15 kilometers south of Frankfurt am Main. The hunting lodge was established between 1722 and 1724 by Landgrave Ernst Ludwig of Hesse-Darmstadt. Ernst Ludwig's purpose in establishing Wolfsgarten was to pursue his passion for hunting with dogs which he introduced into Hesse in 1709.

KZ Walldorf
The labour camp was a satellite camp of the concentration camp Natzweiler-Struthof in Alsace and existed in the period from 23 August to 24 November 1944 near the village of Walldorf. The Squaire is a controversial office building in Frankfurt, Germany. It was built between 2006 and 2011 on top of an existing train station near Frankfurt Airport. The building has has a length of 660 m, a width of 65 m, and a height of 45 m with nine floors. With a total floor area of 140,000 m it is considered to be the largest office building in Germany. The Squaire is directly connected to Terminal 1 of Frankfurt Airport through a connecting corridor for pedestrians.
