Yarra Valley
The Yarra Valley is the name given to the region surrounding the Yarra River in Victoria, Australia. The river originates approximately 90 kilometres east of the City of Melbourne and flows towards it and out into Port Phillip Bay.
Yarra Ranges Shire
The Yarra Ranges Shire is a local government area in Victoria, Australia, located in the outer eastern and northeastern suburbs of Melbourne extending into the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. It has an area of 2,469.9 square kilometres, and at the 2011 census, it had a population of 144,541. It was formed in 1994 by the merger of parts of the Shire of Sherbrooke, Shire of Lillydale, Shire of Healesville and Shire of Upper Yarra.
Millgrove, Victoria

At the 2006 Census, Millgrove had a population of 1576. Millgrove is located along the Warburton Highway, between Wesburn and Warburton. The Post Office opened on 7 November 1906, four years after the opening of the town's railway station on 13 November 1901 on the Warburton line.

The mining town of “Yankee Jim's Creek” was located on the gold-bearing slopes of Mount Little Joe, and was renamed “Warburton” after the mining warden of the district, Charles Warburton Carr.

At the 2006 Census, Wesburn had a population of 619. Predominantly rural in nature, the township has a narrow ribbon of residential dwellings along and branching off the Warburton Highway. The name Wesburn is derived from its original name of West Warburton.
Yarra Junction, Victoria
Yarra Junction is a town in Victoria, Australia, 55 km east from Melbourne's central business district. It sits at the junction of the Yarra and Little Yarra Rivers. Its local government area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. At the 2006 Census, Yarra Junction had a population of 1740. The Post Office opened on 20 November 1901, a week after the railway arrived. Yarra Junction was the junction station for the Powelltown Tramway, a three foot gauge line, between 1913 and 1945.
Warburton East, Victoria
Warburton East is a town in Victoria, Australia, 67 km east from Melbourne's central business district. Its local government area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. At the 2006 Census, Warburton East had a population of 721. The Post Office opened on 1 November 1921 and closed in 1975.
Warburton railway station
Warburton railway station was an outer suburban station in Melbourne, Australia. It opened on 13 November 1901 as the terminus of the Warburton line, and closed with the line on 1 August 1965. The site is now the conclusion of the Lilydale – Warburton walking trail, which follows the line of the old railway. The track after Warburton station extended a short distance along the "La La extension" which was opened on 3 May 1909, later closing with the line in 1965.
Hoddles Creek, Victoria
Hoddles Creek is a bounded rural locality in Victoria, Australia, 72 km east from Melbourne's central business district. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. At the 2006 census, Hoddles Creek had a population of 1,061. It is situated on the banks of Hoddle's Creek, which is, in turn, named after Robert Hoddle. It has a school, Hoddles Creek Primary School. The Post Office opened as Hoddle's Creek (sic) on 24 May 1862 and closed 1865.
Yarra Junction railway station
Yarra Junction was a railway station on the Warburton east of Melbourne, Australia. The station operated until the line closed in 1965. The building was constructed in 1882 as the Lilydale railway station but was relocated to Yarra Junction in 1914 following the construction of a new station at Lilydale. The building now houses the Upper Yarra Museum. Yarra Junction was the junction station for the Powelltown Tramway, a three foot gauge line, between 1913 and 1945.
Wesburn railway station
Wesburn was a railway station on the Warburton line in Melbourne, Australia. Originally called West Warburton, the station operated until the line's closure in 1965. The only remnant of the station is the crumbling retaining wall of the platform.
Powelltown, Victoria
Powelltown is a town in Victoria, Australia, 70 km east of Melbourne's central business district. Its local government area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. At the 2006 Census, Powelltown had a population of 201. It began life as a timber town in the 1890s, being named after the Powell Wood Processing Company which harvested mountain ash in the Upper Yarra Valley. The logs were transported from the forests to the sawmills by tramway and from there to the railheads at Yarra Junction and Warburton.

Britannia railway station, Melbourne
Britannia (aka Britannia Siding) was not strictly a railway station as such, but a named siding on the Warburton line in Melbourne, Australia, approximately 1 km east of Yarra Junction. Originally named Richards's Siding, it was built for the use of the nearby Britannia Creek Wood Distillation Plant. It was mainly used for goods but occasionally also served passengers.
Bunyip State Park
Bunyip State Park is a 166-square-kilometre state park 65 kilometres east of Melbourne, near the town of Gembrook. The area was used for logging from 1898 until 1990, and was turned into a state park two years later. The park is named after the bunyip, an mythical Aboriginal mythical creature that was thought to live along the Bunyip River that flows through the park.

Warburton Hospital was a private Adventist hospital in Warburton, Victoria in Australia. The hospital was owned by Signs Publishing Company. The hospital made a net loss of $2.25 million (including depreciation) over the previous five years. It was placed on the market on January 1998.

Little Peninsula Tunnel
The Little Peninsula Tunnel is a small river diversion tunnel on the upper Yarra River near McMahons Creek, around 80 km East of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The tunnel was dug in the 1860s by alluvial gold miners to provide access to the bed of the Yarra River. The tunnel is a short walk from the Little Peninsula Tunnel Picnic Ground, about 14 km east of Warburton on the Woods Point Road. The site is listed in the Victorian Heritage Inventory.
