City of Whittlesea
The City of Whittlesea is a local government area located in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The city covers an area of 489.9 square kilometres, and at the 2011 Census it had a population of 154,880.
Doreen, Victoria
Doreen is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 26 km north-east from Melbourne's Central Business District. Its Local Government Area is the City of Whittlesea and the Shire of Nillumbik. At the 2011 Census, Doreen had a population of 11,276. Patrick Reid settled the area in 1844, calling it "Hazel Glen". The Post Office opened on 8 December 1870 as Hazelglen and was renamed Doreen in 1895.

Epping is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 22 km north from Melbourne's Central Business District. Its Local Government Area is the City of Whittlesea. At the 2011 Census, Epping had a population of 26,346. Epping is bounded by Mill Park and Lalor to the south, Somerton to the west, South Morang to the east and Wollert to the north. Epping has a mainly flat terrain though, towards the north, lie several large hills, which provide an excellent view of Melbourne.

At the 2011 Census, Plenty had a population of 2,093. Plenty is located within Greater Melbourne, beyond the Melbourne metropolitan area Urban Growth Boundary. It is a semi-rural area consisting mostly of large lots, with many being several acres in size.

At the 2011 Census, South Morang had a population of 20,873. Originally known as Morang South, South Morang grew from a country area on the outskirts of Melbourne in the late 1990s/early 2000s to a suburban area with new estates being developed.

At the 2011 Census, Mill Park had a population of 30,517. Mill Park's boundaries are South Morang and Epping to the north, Plenty and the Blossom Park and Rivergum estates to the east, Bundoora and Thomastown to the south and Lalor to the west.
Division of Scullin
The Division of Scullin is an Australian Electoral Division in the state of Victoria. It is located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, including Epping, Lalor, Bundoora, Mill Park and Plenty. The Division replaced the abolished Division of Darebin at the redistribution of 21 November 1968. It was named after Rt Hon James Scullin, the ninth Prime Minister of Australia. The Division has been a safe seat for the Australian Labor Party since its inception.
Bears Castle
Bears Castle is a small castle in Yan Yean, Victoria, Australia. The castle was constructed from mud and clay in around 1846 by two men named Hannaford and Edwards, each of whom had recently arrived from Devon, England. It was built for the pastoralist John Bear. The castle is approximately 12 square metres in area, and has parapets and turrets on each corner. In around 1900 the parapets and a castellated tower were removed.

South Morang is a railway station opened 22 April 2012 as an extension of the Epping railway line in South Morang, Victoria, Australia. Funding was allocated in the 2009 state budget, and construction of the extension from Epping began in 2010 http://www. transport. vic. gov. au/DOI/Internet/transport. nsf/AllDocs/096A2D46A902426ECA25744000806256?OpenDocument. A campaign promise was made to rebuild the station made when the Bracks Labor government first came to power in 1999.

Yan Yean Reservoir
Yan Yean Reservoir is the oldest water supply for the city of Melbourne, Australia. It is built on the Plenty River a tributary of the Yarra River, 30 km north of the city. A 9.5 metre embankment holds back 30,000 megalitres (30 million cubic metres) of water. Work began in 1853 at the height of the gold rush, and it took four years to construct at a cost of £750,000. The reservoir is managed by Melbourne Water as part of the water supply system for Melbourne.

Yan Yean is a locality in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 38 km north-east from Melbourne's central business district. Its Local Government Area is the City of Whittlesea and the Shire of Nillumbik. At the 2011 Census, Yan Yean had a population of 299. Yan Yean is home to Yan Yean Reservoir. Melbourne's first reservoir, a 560 hectare lake with a capacity of 30,000 megalitres, was first established in December 1853 and provides water to Melbourne's northern and central suburbs.

Plenty River (Victoria)
The Plenty River is a tributary of the Yarra River in Victoria, Australia. Originating in the forested slopes of Mount Disappointment, the Plenty River is the source of Melbourne's first major water supply in the form of the Yan Yean Reservoir. The Plenty River Trail runs along the banks in the lower reaches of the river.

Mill Park Secondary College
Mill Park Secondary College is located in, Victoria, Australia with its Junior Campus located on Moorhead Drive Mill Park and its senior campus is located in on Civic Drive, Epping. Built in the early years of the 1990s for the residents of Mill Park, however the population growth grew and a Senior campus was in around 1997. Mill Park Secondary College today has approximately 1,820 students. It's also noteworthy that less than 1% of students are of Aboriginal descent.
Epping Stadium
Epping Stadium is an Australian football (soccer) stadium on Harvest Home Rd in Epping, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000, with approximately 1,000 seats in its one grandstand. The venue was host to several National Soccer League matches during the final days of Carlton SC, and has also hosted A-League clubs Melbourne Heart and Melbourne Victory in pre-season matches, as well as W-League Matches and National Youth League matches.
Epping Secondary College
Epping Secondary College is a secondary school located in Epping, Victoria, Australia. Education is provided for years 7–12 on one campus and offers VCE, VCAL and VET courses in years 11 and 12. The current Principal is Helene Alamidis. The school was founded in 1976 and built up in size slowly over the years. In 2010, the total student amount is 704.
South Morang railway station (former)
South Morang was a steam-era railway station on the Whittlesea line, which operated until the closure of the line beyond Lalor Station in the 1950s, after the electrification of the line to Lalor. Epping Station was then re-opened in the 1960s with the electrification of that section of the line. The remaining section of track from Epping to Whittlesea was then dismantled in the 1970s, with the former right-of-way remaining intact.
