Shire of Nillumbik
The Shire of Nillumbik is a local government area in Victoria, Australia. It contains outer northern suburbs of Melbourne and rural localities beyond the urban area. It has an area of 435 square kilometres and at the 2011 Census, the Shire had a population of 60,342. It was formed in 1994 from the merger of parts of the Shires of Eltham, Diamond Valley, Healesville and the City of Whittlesea. The Shire uses the tag-line The Green Wedge Shire.

Yarra Glen railway station
Yarra Glen is the city-end terminus of the Healesville railway. The first station on the site was built in 1888–1889 when the railway line was extended from Lilydale to Healesville. The settlement had been previously named Burgoyne, but when the railway was extended, the decision was made to rename it Yarra Glen. Though Yarra Glen was a small settlement, its station was often used for supplying Melbourne with produce from nearby farms. The station closed along with the Healesville line in 1980.
Tarrawarra railway station
Tarrawarra is a station on the former Healesville line between Yarra Glen and Healesville in Australia. The station, opened in 1889, closed along with the Healesville line in December 1980. The section of track through the location of the station is now maintained by the Yarra Valley Tourist Railway, which is based out of Healesville.

Christmas Hills is located between Kangaroo Ground and Yarra Glen, along Eltham-Yarra Glen Road (State Route C726), north of the Yarra River, in the Dandenong Ranges. In 1904, the Australian Handbook described Christmas Hills as "an excellent health resort".

Coldstream railway station, Melbourne
Coldstream is a closed railway station, located in Station Street, Coldstream, Victoria, Australia, on the now-closed Healesville greater-metropolitan line. The station buildings were destroyed by fire in the late 1990s. The track from Coldstream to Yarra Glen was formerly leased by the Yarra Valley Tourist Railway, who discontinued their lease due to the poor condition of bridges along the line. An old platform in poor condition remains at the former station.
Olinda Creek
Olinda Creek is a major tributary of the Yarra River in Victoria, Australia. Its origins are in the Dandenong Ranges, and it is notable for passing through the settlement of Lilydale (now a suburb of Melbourne) before joining with the Yarra near Coldstream.
Yering railway station
Yering is a closed railway station, located up from Macintyre Lane, Yering, Victoria, Australia, on the now-closed Healesville greater-metropolitan line. The track from Coldstream to Yarra Glen was formerly leased by the Yarra Valley Tourist Railway, who discontinued their lease due to the poor condition of bridges along the line. The station was closed in 1980, however the line was not officially closed until 10 March 1983.

Steels Creek is a town in Victoria, Australia, 45 km north-east of Melbourne's central business district, 7 km north of Yarra Glen. Its local government area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. In 2006 the ABS listed the population as 3,760. The Post Office, Steel's Creek, opened on 14 March 1890 and closed in 1968. Steels Creek has a community centre at the site of the public Primary School, which was closed down in 1992 by the Kennett Government.
Tarrawarra, Victoria
Tarrawarra is a town in Victoria, Australia, 45 km north-east of Melbourne's central business district. Its local government area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. It was originally known as View Hill estate, and was purchased in 1893 by David Syme, owner and publisher of The Age newspaper, who expanded it and gave it its present name, which is of Aboriginal origin. The name refers to "slow waters", describing the local arc in the Yarra River.

Sugarloaf Reservoir
Sugarloaf Reservoir is a reservoir located north-east of Melbourne. It was completed in 1981. Its total capacity is 96 GL. As of February 12, 2010 the reservoir sits at 67.1% of capacity. It reached nearly 80% in late 2009 after reaching nearly 10% in May. In February 2010, the North South Pipeline from the Goulburn River was connected to the reservoir. It is operated by Melbourne Water.
Sugarloaf Hydroelectric Power Station
The Sugarloaf Hydroelectric Power Station is a mini hydroelectric power station at Sugarloaf Reservoir, near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is located at the outlet of the North-South Pipeline that carries water over the Great Dividing Range from the Goulburn River to Melbourne. It will recover approximately 40% of the energy used to pump water through the pipeline.
