Caesarea Maritima

Caesarea Maritima is a national park on Israeli coastline, near the town of Caesarea. The ancient Caesarea Maritima (or Caesarea Palestinae) city and harbor was built by Herod the Great about 25–13 BCE. The city has been populated through the late Roman and Byzantine era. Its ruins lie on the Mediterranean coast of Israel, about halfway between the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa, on the site of Pyrgos Stratonos ("Straton's Tower").

Kebara Cave is an Israeli limestone cave locality of the Wadi Kebara, situated at 60 - 65 metres ASL on the western escarpment of the Carmel Range, some 10km north-east of Caesarea. The cave was inhabited between 60,000 - 48,000 BP and is famous for its excavated finds of hominid remains, made under the direction of Professor Ofer Bar-Yosef.

Tabun Cave

The Tabun Cave is an excavated cave located at Nahal Me'arot Nature Reserve, Israel and is one of Human Evolution sites at Mount Carmel, which were proclaimed as universal value by UNESCO in 2012. Tha cave was occupied intermittently during the Lower and Middle Paleolithic ages (500,000 to around 40,000 years ago). In the course of this period, deposits of sand, silt and clay of up to 25 meters accumulated in the cave.

Caesarea Golf & Country Club

The Caesarea Golf & Country Club is the only 18-hole golf course in the country of Israel. Caesarea is a coastal town, halfway between Tel Aviv and Haifa. The course was designed in 1961 by Fred Smith and Herman Barron, and passes through ancient Roman imperial ruins. It was the first golf club opened in the country, and one of two (the other one is in nearby kibbutz Ga'ash). Because it is the only full course in Israel, the golf course fees are very expensive.

Es Skhul is a cave site situated c. 20 kilometers south of the city of Haifa, Israel, and c. 3 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. The prehistoric site, was first excavated by Dorothy Garrod in the summer of 1928. The excavations revealed the first evidence of the late Epipalaeolithic Natufian culture, characterised by the presence of abundant microliths, human burials and ground stone tools.

Ohel Ya'akov Synagogue, Zikhron Ya'akov

Ohel Ya'akov Synagogue located in Zikhron Ya'akov, a town in the Haifa District of Israel, was established in 1866 by Baron Edmond James de Rothschild. Rothschild commissioned the construction the synagogue in memory of his father Jacob Mayer de Rothschild. It was completed in 1884. Its name, Ohel Yaakov, means "Tent of Jacob" and alludes to the biblical Jacob, who "dwelled in tents" according to Genesis 25:27.

Kafr Lam

Kafr Lam was a Palestinian Arab village located 26 kilometres south of Haifa on the Mediterranean coast. The name of the village was shared with that of an Islamic fort constructed there early on in the period of Arab Caliphate rule (638-1099 CE) in Palestine. To the Crusaders, both the fort and the village, which they controlled for some time in the 13th century, were known as Cafarlet. Kafr Lam was depopulated during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.

HaBonim disaster

The HaBonim disaster was a tragic accident on June 11, 1985 in which a train crashed into a bus of schoolchildren on an outing from Y.H. Brenner middle school in Petah Tikva. The crash took place near Moshav HaBonim. Twenty-two people were killed: 19 students, a teacher, the bus driver, and a parent.
