South Gippsland Shire

South Gippsland Shire is a local government area in Victoria, Australia in the south-east of the state. It includes the towns of Leongatha (administrative centre), Korumburra, Foster, Poowong and Mirboo North. It has an area of 3,305 square kilometres. In 2006 it had a population of 25,737. It was formed in 1994 from the merging of the Shire of Mirboo, Shire of South Gippsland, and parts of the Shire of Korumburra and Shire of Woorayl.

The station grounds still retain a Pivot Shed, Goods platform, and the platform mound in reasonable condition, along with a mile marker 88 and a buffer stop in good condition.
