Powell, Ohio

Powell is a city in Delaware County, Ohio, United States. The population was 11,500 at the 2010 census. The community was first settled around 1801, two years before Ohio became a state. It was named "Middlebury" at the time, because the first settlers came from the Middlebury, Connecticut area. In 1857, Judge Thomas Powell established the first post office in the community, and the residents decided to adopt his name. Powell was finally incorporated as a municipality in 1947.

Worthington, Ohio

Worthington is a city in Franklin County, Ohio, United States, and is a northern suburb of the larger Columbus, Ohio. The population was 13,575 at the 2010 census. The city was founded in 1803 by the Scioto Company led by James Kilbourne, who was later elected to the United States House of Representatives. The city was named in honor of Thomas Worthington, who later became governor of Ohio.

Pontifical College Josephinum

The Pontifical College Josephinum is a four-year, Roman Catholic liberal arts college and graduate school of theology founded by Monsignor Joseph Jessing in 1888 and located in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Worthington Christian High School (Worthington, Ohio)

Worthington Christian High School is an American private secondary school in Worthington, Franklin County, Ohio. The school was founded in 1973, and teaches grades nine through twelve. As suggested by the name, the school teaches Christian beliefs as a required part of its curriculum. All students and staff must agree to what it calls the Community Life Together Covenant, which is a statement of values and principles, that guide conduct.

Worthington Kilbourne High School

Worthington Kilbourne High School is located in Columbus, Ohio and is part of the Worthington City School District. The school had an enrollment of approximately 1,357 students in the 2009-2010 school year. Kilbourne was named after James Kilbourne, the founder of the city of Worthington. Thomas Worthington High School ("TWHS") is a public school in Worthington, Ohio. TWHS has historically been among the top-performing high schools in Ohio in terms of academics. The school was named Worthington High School until 1991, when sister school, Worthington Kilbourne High School, opened.
