Kiryat Gat Railway Station

Kiryat Gat Railway Station is a station on the Israel Railways lines between Tel Aviv (and points north) and Be'er Sheva, serving Kiryat Gat. It is located in the industrial zone in the east of Kiryat Gat. The station was first opened in July 1960, but was closed from 1979 to 1997. In December 2006 the station served a daily average of 1850 passengers.

Highway 35 (Israel)

Highway 35 is a highway in south-central Israel. It runs roughly from west to east. Nahala, Israel

Nahala is a moshav in south-central Israel, a few kilometers north of Kiryat Gat and south of Kiryat Malakhi. It belongs to the Yoav Regional Council. The community was founded in 1953 by immigrants to Israel from Yemen, but today contains a mixed population. This community, along with the neighboring Menuha, are named for the Menuha VeNahala organization that founded Rehovot.

Menuha is a moshav in south-central Israel, a few km north of Kiryat Gat and south of Kiryat Malakhi. It belongs to the Lakhish Regional Council. It was founded in 1953 by immigrants to Israel from Kurdistan and Iraq. This community, along with the neighboring Nahla, are named after "Biblical passage "Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel ... " and for the Menuha VeNahala organization that founded Rehovot. Menuha means "rest" or "ease" in Hebrew.

Uza is a religious moshav in southern Israel. Located in Hevel Lakhish around two kilometres south of Kiryat Gat and covering 1,000 dunams, it falls under the jurisdiction of Shafir Regional Council. In 2006, it had a population of 463. The village was established in 1950. Biblical "name taken from passage "Summon the might, O God, show the strength, O God, thou who hast wrought for us" ."

Jusayr

Jusayr was a Palestinian Arab village in the District of Gaza. It was depopulated during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War on July 17, 1948 under Operation Barak or Operation Yo'av. It was located 35 km northeast of Gaza. A 1596 census revealed a population of 330. By 1945 it had a population of 1180. Jusayr had an elementary school for boys which was founded in 1937, and by 1945 it had an enrollment of 74 students.
