The Walhalla Cricket Ground is a landmark in Walhalla, Victoria, Australia. Linked by a walking track from Walhalla Road, the cricket ground is perched at the top of a hill, because that was the only flat land that the early townsfolk could find for sporting activities. It is claimed that the half-hour climb up the hill to reach the ground, in conjunction with the long trip to Walhalla itself, ensured a home advantage.

Platina railway station

Platina was a railway station on the Walhalla narrow gauge line in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. The station was opened in 1910, and consisted of a passenger shed and a number of sidings. The Evans brothers built two lime kilns nearby in 1912, and had their own siding at the station. In 1944, the railway line between Platina and Walhalla was closed. The lime quarries and kilns ceased operating in 1951, causing the closure of the Erica to Platina railway the following year.

Walhalla was a railway station on the Walhalla narrow gauge line in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. The station was originally built to serve the Gold Mine town of Walhalla, however just 3 years after the line opened the last gold mine in the town closed. This section of the railway was considered to be a remarkable piece of engineering; the town of Walhalla is located in a very steep gully, and due to space restrictions the station building was built over the creek.

Thomson railway station

Thomson was a railway station on the Walhalla narrow gauge line in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, located where the line crossed the Thomson River. The station was situated on the section of line closed in 1944. The station reopened in 1995, and is now the headquarters of the Walhalla Goldfields Railway. The platform and wooden station building had been reconstructed at Thomson for use by WGR tourist trains as the current terminus.

The Walhalla Goldfields Rail Trail is a 7 kilometre rail trail which follows the former route of the narrow gauge Walhalla railway line between Erica and Thomson station, near Walhalla in Victoria's east. Another small section of the former line, where it runs through Moondarra State Park between Moe and Erica, is also open as the unofficial Moondarra Rail Trail.

Thomson River Diversion Tunnel

The Thomson River Diversion Tunnel, also known as the Horseshoe Bend Tunnel or the Chinese Tunnel, is located on the Thomson River near the junction with Coopers Creek (and the locality of Platina), approximately 4 km south-west of Walhalla, Victoria, Australia. The river flows around Stockriders Spur in a horseshoe bend. The tunnel was driven through the spur diverting the river and allowing the exposed river bed to be sluiced for alluvial gold.
