Rhaetian Railway

The Rhaetian Railway is a Swiss transport company, owning the largest network of all the private railways in Switzerland. The company operates most of the railways in the Swiss canton of Graubünden as the Swiss federal railway company SBB-CFF-FFS extend only a few kilometres over the cantonal border to the capital at Chur. Almost the entire network is in Graubünden, with one station at Tirano in Italy. The Rhaetian Railway serves a number of major tourist centres, including St Moritz and Davos.

Lago Bianco

Lago Bianco (literally "White Lake") is a lake at the Bernina pass in the Grisons, Switzerland. Its surface area is 1.50 km². The current reservoir was formed by the two dams Scala and Arlas on the site of two natural lakes (Lago Bianco and Lago della Scala).

Bernina Express

The Bernina Express is a train connecting Chur in Switzerland with Poschiavo and Tirano in Italy by crossing the Swiss Alps. For most of its journey, the train also passes along and through the World Heritage Site known as the Rhaetian Railway in the Albula / Bernina Landscapes. The train is operated by the Rhaetian Railway company, mostly for the purpose of sightseeing. It is composed of panoramic coaches in which a piped multi-lingual commentary plays.

Lej Nair (Bernina)

Lej Nair (literally "black lake" in Romansh) is a small lake on Bernina Pass in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland. It is located near the summit of the pass, between Lago Bianco ("white lake") and Lej Pitschen ("small lake"). While Lago Bianco drains to the Adriatic Sea, Lej Nair and Lej Pitschen are part of the basin of the Inn River draining into the Black Sea.

Bernina railway

The Bernina railway is a single track metre gauge railway line forming part of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). It links the spa resort of St. Moritz, in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland, with the town of Tirano, in the Province of Sondrio, Italy, via the Bernina Pass. It also ranks as the highest adhesion railway in the Alps, and - with inclines of up to 7% - as one of the steepest adhesion railways in the world.

Ospizio Bernina (Rhaetian Railway station)

Ospizio Bernina is a station on the Bernina Railway line between St. Moritz in Switzerland and Tirano in Italy. Hourly services operate on this line. It is the highest station on the Bernina Railway and also on the entire Rhaetian Railway network. It is also the highest railway station in Graubünden. Nearby is the Bernina Pass.
