The American School In Switzerland
The American School In Switzerland (TASIS) is a private school that receives elementary, middle, and high school students from many different nations and provides them with a Western-based education. Located in Montagnola, a small town above Lugano, Ticino, Switzerland, it has a current student body of about 600 pupils, many of whom are boarders. TASIS was founded 1956 by M. Crist Fleming; she is also responsible for the founding of The American School In England, a sister school to TASIS.
Lugano Airport
Lugano Airport is a regional airport located 4 km west of the Swiss city of Lugano, in the municipalities of Agno, Bioggio and Muzzano. It lies closer to the village of Agno than to Lugano itself, and is sometimes known as Lugano-Agno. The airport is situated on land owned the city of Lugano, whilst management is the responsibility of Lugano Airport SA, whose shares are owned by the canton of Ticino (12.5%) and the city (87.5%).
Montagnola
Montagnola is a small Swiss village in Collina d'Oro municipality. Located in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, it is close to the border between Switzerland and Italy. It looks over Lake Lugano and the city of Lugano upon it. It falls within the local parish of Sant'Abbondio Gentilino. Biogno
Biogno is a village and former municipality in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. It was first recorded in 1022 as Biogno. Biogno municipality had 232 inhabitants in 1850, which increased to 369 in 1900. In 1925 the municipality was split in two to form the two new municipalities Breganzona and Bioggio. The village Biogno was located in Breganzona, except for Mulini which was moved to Bioggio.
Noranco
Noranco is a village and former municipality in the district of Lugano in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. The village, formerly a municipality of its own, was merged with neighboring Pambio in 1904 to constitute a new municipality Pambio-Noranco. In 2004, Pambio-Noranco municipality was incorporated into the larger, neighboring municipality Lugano and now forms a quarter of that city.
Agnuzzo
Agnuzzo is a village in the municipality of Muzzano, Canton of Ticino, Switzerland. The village borders Lake Lugano between Agno and Montagnola on the northern end of the lake's western spur. The current population is around 730. Agnuzzo is host to a portion of the TCS (Touring Club Switzerland) la Piodella campground and a station for the Lugano-Ponte Tresa FLP (Ferrovia Lugano- Ponte Tresa).

The station is served by FLP trains on line S60 of the Ticino rapid transit network, which operate every 15 minutes between Lugano and Ponte Tresa, with trains every 30 minutes at weekends and evenings. The station is also served by an Autopostale bus service to Aranno and Cademario Casa di Cura.
