Lake Lucerne
Lake Lucerne (German: Vierwaldstättersee, lit. "Lake of the Four Forested Cantons") is a lake in central Switzerland and the fourth largest in the country. The lake has a complicated shape, with bends and arms reaching from the city of Lucerne into the mountains. It has a total area of 114 km² (44 sq mi), an elevation of 434 m (1,424 ft), and a maximum depth of 214 m (702 ft). Its volume is 11.8 km³.

Winkelried
Winkelried was a family of Unterwalden, recorded as members of the lower nobility during the second half of the 13th century and as commoners during the 14th to early 16th centuries. The name is mostly associated with Arnold von Winkelried, the hero of the Battle of Sempach (1386) in Swiss historiography. Because of the importance of Arnold Winkelried in 19th-century Swiss nationalism, much research has gone into the genealogy of this family.

Tribschen (also seen as Triebschen) is a district of the city of Lucerne, in the Canton of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Tribschen is best known today as the home of the German composer Richard Wagner from 30 March 1866 to 22 April 1872. When Wagner was obliged to leave Munich in March 1866, he moved to a spacious villa in Tribschen on a headland projecting into Lake Lucerne.

Maria-Rickenbach
Maria-Rickenbach is a Benedictine monastery for women. It is situated above the village of Niederrickenbach in the municipality of Oberdorf in the Swiss canton of Nidwalden. The monastery is accessible only by cable car from Niederrickenbach Station on the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg railway line. The monastery was established after a 1528 painting of the Madonna was placed in a hollow maple tree on that site.
Engelberger Aa
Engelberger Aa (or Engelbergeraa) is a river in Switzerland. It rises west of Surenenpass in the Canton of Uri, flows through the valley of Engelberg and Nidwalden. At Buochs, it empties into Lake Lucerne and is thus a tributary of the river Reuss, which drains that lake.
Meggenhorn Castle
Meggenhorn Castle is a castle in Meggen near the Swiss city of Lucerne. It was built in 1868/70 by Edouad Hofer-Grosjean from Mulhouse and in 1926 equipped with a Welte Philharmonic Organ. It is surrounded by vine yards and is considered to be the municipality's symbol. Today, it is mostly used as a tourist attraction and reception venue. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

The Culture and Congress Centre in Lucerne (or KKL for Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Luzern) is a multi-functional building with a concert hall that is esteemed for its high-profile acoustics. Neuhabsburg Castle
Neuhabsburg Castle is a privately owned castle located in Meggen, Lucerne, Switzerland, built on the ruins of a much older castle. In 1244 the income from the land was granted to the Fraumünster Abbey in Zurich. In 1244/5 the original castle was built by the Habsburg family on the shore of Lucerne Lake. The castle may have been built to replace the old Meggenhorn fort.
University of Lucerne
The University of Lucerne is a public university with a campus in Luzern, Switzerland. 1231 undergraduates and 1061 postgraduate students attend the university, which makes it Switzerland's smallest university. Despite its size, it holds an international reputation in several areas. For instance, the Institute for Jewish-Christian Research has acquired renown. The university evolved over time: Since the early 17th century, courses in philosophy and theology have been taught in the city.
Church of St. Leodegar (Lucerne)
The Church of St. Leodegar is the most important church and a landmark in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. It was built in parts from 1633 to 1639 on the foundation of the Roman basilica which had burnt in 1633. This church was one of the few built north of the Alps during the Thirty Years War and one of the largest and art history rich churches of the German late renaissance period.
Lucerne railway station
Lucerne railway station is a major hub of the Swiss rail network. It is a terminal station serving domestic and international traffic on several rail lines. The lines from the east pass to the north of Lucerne and then join the lines from the north and the west and pass to the west of Lucerne before turning to approach the station from the south. The metre-gauge Brünig railway from the south and Interlaken also terminates at the station.
Mueterschwanderberg
Mueterschwanderberg (also Mueterschwandenberg) is a ridge forming the southern shore of Alpnachersee, just northwest of Stanserhorn and west of the village of Ennetmoos, Nidwalden, Switzerland. Its peak is at an elevation of 860 m (some 425 m above the lake surface). The peak is known as Drachenflue (Drachenfluh), with the Drachenloch cave nearby, named for the dragon which according to legend was slain here by Heinrich von Winkelried.
Bürgenstock railway
The Bürgenstock railway is a funicular railway in the canton of Nidwalden, Switzerland. The line links the landing stage at Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock, served by the regular passenger boats of the Schifffahrtsgesellschaft des Vierwaldstättersees, with the Bürgenstock resort and its famous hotels. The railway was opened in 1888 and was originally a water-ballast funicular with an Abt rack braking rail. Today the funicular is electric and automatic, but it still uses the original cabins.
Rigi Kaltbad
Rigi Kaltbad is a resort in the Swiss Alps, located in the canton of Lucerne. The resort sits on a sunny terrace at a height of 1,433 metres, overlooking Lake Lucerne above Weggis in Central Switzerland. The locality is part of the municipality of Weggis. Rigi Kaltbad is located on the flanks of the Rigi and is connected to Vitznau by the Rigi Railways. It is also connected to Weggis by a cable car
Hergiswil railway station
Hergiswil is a Swiss railway station in the municipality of Hergiswil in the canton of Nidwalden. It is at the junction of the Brünig line, which links Lucerne and Interlaken, and the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg line. Both lines are of metre gauge and owned by the Zentralbahn railway company. Hergiswil station is one of two stations to serve Hergiswil, the other being Hergiswil Matt, which is on the Brünig line some 1.5 kilometres to the north. Hergiswil Matt is a Swiss railway station in the municipality of Hergiswil in the canton of Nidwalden. It is on the Brünig line of the Zentralbahn railway company, which links Lucerne and Interlaken, and is also used by trains of the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg line. Hergiswil Matt station is one of two stations to serve Hergiswil, the other being Hergiswil, which is on the Brünig line some 1.5 kilometres to the south. The station is served by the following passenger trains:
Stansstad railway station
Stansstad is a Swiss railway station in the municipality of Stansstad in the canton of Nidwalden. It is on the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg line, owned by the Zentralbahn railway company, and is adjacent to the bridge that carries the line across the Alpnachersee arm of Lake Lucerne. The current railway station is the second to exist in Stansstad, having been built as a through station on the section of line opened in 1964 to connect the then Stansstad–Engelberg line to the Brünig line at Hergiswil.

Niederrickenbach railway station
Niederrickenbach Station is a Swiss railway station in the municipality of Wolfenschiessen in the canton of Nidwalden. It is on the Luzern–Stans–Engelberg line, owned by the Zentralbahn railway company. The station is adjacent to the lower station of the cable car, to the hamlet of Niederrickenbach and the convent of Maria-Rickenbach, from which it takes its name. It should be noted that Niederrickenbach station is 2.3 km horizontally and 650 m vertically from Niederrickenbach hamlet.
