Gstaad
Gstaad is a village in the German-speaking section of the Canton of Bern in southwestern Switzerland. It is part of the municipality of Saanen and is known as a major ski resort and a popular destination amongst high-class society and the international Jet set. The winter campus of the world renowned Institute Le Rosey, is located in Gstaad. Gstaad has a population of about 3,200 and is located 1,050 metres above sea level.

See also the breed of cattle called Simmental. Simmental is an alpine valley in the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland. It expands from Lenk to Boltigen, in a more or less south-north direction, and from there to the valley exit at Wimmis near Spiez it takes a west-east orientation. It comprises the municipalities of Lenk, St. Stephan, Zweisimmen, Boltigen, Oberwil, Därstetten, Erlenbach, Diemtigen and Wimmis. The Simme flows through the valley.

The Swiss Open (officially Crédit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad) is a tennis tournament held in Gstaad, Switzerland. Held since 1915, the tournament is played on outdoor clay courts. Between 1970 and 1989 it was an event of the Grand Prix tennis circuit and is now a part of the ATP Tour schedule.
Lake of Gruyère
Lake of Gruyère (French: Lac de la Gruyère; German: Lac de la Gruyère or Greyerzersee) is a lake in the La Gruyère region of the Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. The reservoir was formed between the cities of Bulle and Fribourg, by building the Rossens Dam on the Sarine river in 1948. The arch dam has a height of 83 m and a crest length of 320 m. The reservoir filled in about four months after completion. The dam is operated by the Groupe E SA.
Sarine District
Sarine District is one of the seven districts of the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It is largely French-speaking, with a German-speaking minority. Its territory is drained by the Sarine river (which gives it its name), and by its tributary, the Glâne. It has a population of 96,979 (as of 31 December 2011).
Schwarzsee
Schwarzsee is a small lake in the Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland with an area of 0.47 km². The lake in the Swiss Prealps is bordered by the peaks of Schwyberg (1,628 m) in the West, Les Reccardets (1,923 m) and Spitzfluh (1,951 m) in the South, as well as Kaiseregg (2,185 m).
Lac de Montsalvens
Lac de Montsalvens is a lake in the Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. The reservoir has a capacity of 12.6 million m³ and a surface area of 0.74 km². It is located on the road to Jaun Pass, between the villages of Broc and Charmey. The Grand Council of the canton of Fribourg decided construction of the dam on 17/18 May 1918. By 1920, the construction was completed and in 1921 the reservoir filled for the first time.
Sales, Sarine
Sales is a village and former municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It was first recorded in 1082 as Sala. The municipality had 114 inhabitants in 1811, which went up and down to 191 in 1850, 160 in 1870, 226 in 1920, 175 in 1930, 213 in 1941 and 153 in 1970. In 1977 the municipality was incorporated into the larger, neighboring municipality Ependes.
Roy Emerson Arena
Roy Emerson Arena is a tennis stadium located in Gstaad, Switzerland. The stadium is the centerpiece of the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad, an ATP Tour event. The stadium has a capacity of 6,000 spectators. It is named in honor of Roy Emerson, 12-time Grand Slam champion, and winner of the Gstaad tournament in 1969.

A12 motorway (Switzerland)
The A12 motorway, an Autobahn in western Switzerland, is a divided highway connecting the A9 to the A1. The A12 runs from the A9 in Vevey along the Freiburger Alps via Fribourg to the A1 in Bern and thus represents an important link to Western Switzerland. The A12 acts as the main route of the Canton of Freiburg and crosses the Canton area in the diagonal of Chatel-Saint-Denis (in the southwest) to the Flamatt in the northeast. Since 1981, the entire highway has been open to traffic.
