Segura is a medium-sized river in southeastern Spain. It starts at Santiago Pontones, passes Calasparra, Cieza, Murcia, Beniaján, Orihuela, Rojales and ends in the Mediterranean Sea near Guardamar del Segura in the province of Alicante. The Baix Vinalopó is a comarca in the province of Alicante. It is bordered by the comarques of Vinalopó Mitjà and Alacantí on the north and Vega Baja del Segura on the south. Palmeral of Elche
The Palmeral of Elche is a plantation of palm trees in the Spanish province of Alicante. It is the largest palm grove in Europe and one of the largest in the world, surpassed in size only by some in Arab countries. The Palmeral includes the Parque Municipal and many other orchards (huertos), covering over 3.5 km, including 1.5 km within the city of Elche (Elx). It contains more than 11,000 palm trees, mostly date palms, with individual specimens up to 300 years old.

Estadio Municipal de Los Arcos is a football ground in Orihuela in Valencian Community, Spain. It is the home of the Orihuela CF football team. The first official match played in Los Arcos was a Torneo Vega Baja game organized by Federación Murciana de Fútbol on May 13, 1945. The former Orihuela Deportiva beat CD Torrevejense 5-1. It was built in the 16th century and is an example of a Renaissance hall-church, with a nave and two aisles of equal height with vaults resting on tall classical columns, responding to a model completely alien to the Valencian world.
Battle of Oriola (1521)
The Battle of Oriola was an armed conflict fought between the troops of the Germanías (artisan guilds) and those of Pedro Fajardo y Chacón, Marqués de los Vélez, on 30 August 1521 in Oriola, in the Kingdom of Valencia (now in Spain). The events were marked by strong internal disputes amongst the Agermanados (members of the Germanías) (moderates against radicals), which caused a significant decline in their forces, just over a month after the Battle of Gandia.
