Shah Alam

Shah Alam is the state capital of Selangor, Malaysia situated within the Petaling District and a small portion of the neighbouring Klang District. It is located about 25 kilometres west of the country's capital, Kuala Lumpur. Shah Alam replaced Kuala Lumpur as the capital city of the state of Selangor in 1978 due to Kuala Lumpur's incorporation into a Federal Territory in 1974. Shah Alam was the first planned city in Malaysia after independence from Britain in 1957.

Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque

The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque is the state mosque of Selangor, Malaysia. It is located in Shah Alam. It is the country's largest mosque and also the second largest mosque in Southeast Asia after Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia. Its most distinguishing feature is its large blue and silver dome. Sunway Lagoon

Sunway Lagoon is an amusement park in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It was officially opened by the Prime Minister Tun Mahathir bin Mohamad on April 29, 1993. It features rides in both the water park and the adjacent dry park. In late 2008, new parks were added and minor improvements were made to the existing park. The park is home to the world's largest wave pool, measuring impressive 139,800 square feet (13,000 square meters).
