Strathmerton
Strathmerton is a small country town in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the Shire of Moira local government area on the Murray Valley Highway, about 11 kilometres west of Cobram and previously (before the bypass) known as the most northerly point in Victoria North of Melbourne at the start of the Goulburn Valley Highway. At the 2006 census, Strathmerton had a population of 467.
Ulupna Island
Ulupna Island lies at the eastern end of Barmah National Park which is a part of the largest river red gum forest in Victoria. The island is bounded by the Murray River and its anabranch, Ulupna Creek. It is located in Northern Victoria, with the nearest town being Strathmerton. The island is popular as a camping destination and is rich in wildlife, with many Goannas, Eastern Grey Kangaroos and Koalas visible all year.

At the 2006 census, Katunga had a population of 1,548. Katunga Post Office opened on 10 June 1881. The local railway station was opened on the Goulburn Valley railway in 1888, but today does not see regular passenger services.

At the 2006 census, Waaia and the surrounding area had a population of 493. Waaia was established in the late 1880s to cater for the increasing rural population of the surrounding area and a Post Office opened on 17 December 1888.

Bearii is located 252 kilometres north of the state capital, Melbourne, 18 kilometres north of Waaia and is just south of the Barmah National Park. Bearii Post Office opened on 10 November 1913 and closed in 1956.

Katunga is a closed railway station on the Goulburn Valley railway in the township of Katunga, Victoria, Australia. The station opened at the same time as the railway from Numurkah to Strathmerton on 1 October 1888. The station presently has a grain silo and loop siding.
Strathmerton railway station
Strathmerton is a closed railway station on the Goulburn Valley railway in the town of Strathmerton, Victoria, Australia. The station opened at the same time as the railway from Shepparton to Cobram on 1 October 1888 with the line to Tocumwal not opened until 28 February 1905, ending at a temporary terminus on the south side of the Murray River,. the line not completed into Tocumwal until July 1908. The junction between the lines was to the north of the station, facing down trains.

The island is a popular camping destination. Ulupna post office opened on 10 February 1879, closed on 11 April 1892, reopened on 1896 and closed on 1 July 1926.
